It’s not a concerted effort to attack the middle on their part. Most of their guys just suck at shooting so much that their number one option is to just drive downhill.
They could give the winner (or each conference's winner) a guaranteed playoff spot, but I'm not sure that's a great idea. The winner will likely be good enough to get one anyways, and if not...they don't deserve it.
Maybe a minor seeding advantage in the playoffs if they get there?
Just tapped into the ESPN game right fast and couldn't help but notice that the game is being called by Doc Rivers and (not) Mark Jones, so why is Draper doing PBP tonight?

I’ll take his 4-9 from three last game every night as well. People(Carmichael Dave and the KHTK shows) were talking about Huerter after the Portland game like he really stunk it up but 4-9 is shooting the three good and he overall had a good game. It seemed they just didn’t want to talk about Keegan
I think his +- stats are going to make it hard not to play him. Makes the right play, good defense with length, keeps it moving, and like you said...doesn't try to do too much
