Well, it’s a win. Not a necessarily a performance that instills confidence in further games without Fox but it was much needed nevertheless.
Domas had his most Domas from last season game as far as setting the tone early and having the near triple double. Nice bounce back from that Houston debacle.
Monk was excellent. Massive offensive game with no three ball but he’s most dangerous when he’s attacking the hoop and getting to the line. Also, great pick n roll work with Len and Domas.
Davion had his best game of the season. If Keon had put in an offensive game to speak of along with his defensive performance and Davion put in business as usual..it was possible his job was on the line but he performed
Len was excellent. He looks to be leaner than last season. Less stiff.
Huerter had a strong game. Some WTF moments but 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals. 4-9 from three. It doesn’t feel like enough considering how poorly the team is shooting overall but he shot the ball well tonight and seems to be getting back in the groove.
Keon played well defensively. 3 steals. Being a problem. I had hoped he showed out a little more offensively. I’d like to see him get another look as starter if Fox misses the next game. Especially since size wise he’s probably better for matchups anyway and Davion responded anyway.
Kessler Edwards was strong defensively.
Duarte was meh and has been meh since the Utah game.
HB was torched all night, didn’t rebound well, but had a couple timely buckets to make his night not seem like a total bust.
Keegan 4-17..that’s not good. It’s a setback for him to not be in the game at crunch time and overtime. I thought he played well defensively and rebounded well but we need him to score.
Sasha and Javale in the doghouse tonight. Could be matchups too. Sasha hasn’t exactly been the defensive sieve many expected…atleast not yet. But I can see why he didn’t get any burn tonight with Grant running wild. Maybe Javale just needed some rest. I can see him and Len alternating.
Surprised we didn’t see Colby tonight
Anyway, Kings will need to play significantly better against OKC.
