I don't think Barnes is as good as Toronto thinks he is/Masai makes him out to be, but that's the deal. You're trading for a third year player who (if he plays the 3 vs insists he's a PG) plays in a position of need and can grow with your young team. Throw in Grady Dick and maybe you route the picks to Suns and it can make the Nurk for Ayton deal work. The Portland either has two vets in the front court or guys they can look to move as separate deals if Indy would still be interested in Ayton I imagine Blazers would have more salary flexibility.

I don't know, but for me that remains the most intriguing deal for Portland.
Yeah, I think last year really pumped the brakes on what Barnes ceiling is as a player. Still so young obviously, but I don't think he's on that KD/Kawhi track that most did after his rookie year.

In the end I think the Blazers did alright for themselves and if they really wanted OG as a building block despite being on an ender instead of OG I think they ultimately went a safer route. But Masai clearly overvalues the bird in hand approach and I wouldn't be shocked if they just keep bleeding talent one player at a time which was a problem for that franchise even before Masai took over and brought their greatest success.

Like, ok man. We get you hate hoops lol, you can at least pretend to be a little grateful for playing in the NBA that's giving you 275 million dollars. This whole schtick was funny at the beginning of the summer and now it's getting kind of annoying.
maybe he's just homesick? he seems like an introvert who just so happens to be a NBA champion and a two time MVP and with those accolades a whole lot of people and cameras are constantly around you so I'd imagine it takes its toll on a person who doesn't necessarily care for the limelight.

On the contrary, I think that Jokic loves basketball. What he hates is all of the accoutrements that go hand-in-hand with being a championship-level superstar. He probably enjoyed his job a lot more when nobody knew or cared about the Denver Nuggets.
