NFL 2023-2024 Thread

Pass rush will need to be good for the Rams next week - Stafford smoked the Seachickens @ SEA, whose defense didn't look good. Rams defense are also better than the Steelers defense......down Kupp, I thought the Rams would have trouble scoring, but not at all. Not gonna be as easy as last season I dont think. If the 49ers play a clean game without turnovers, they have the upperhand, but must perform.
Uhh. No, not at all. It's Aaron Donald and a bunch of children.

It's far more on the Seahawks looking like crap vs this defense than the Rams D actually being good.

Did you even watch the game? Rams defense blanked em the 2nd half - 200 total yards - in Seattle - that's fairly impressive......they certainly looked ALOT better than the Steelers did against the 49ers. No cakewalk next week......

GREAT win for my BOYS to cap off a relatively GREAT opening Sunday of NFL Football...My thoughts are as follows...

The Defense looks ELITE.

I still want to see the offense go up against a legit defense before passing final judgment.

We took care of business against a wannabe elementary school flag football team.

Just gotta stay locked in, don't get too ahead of ourselves, and take care of the team that stands across from us, and not look ahead to the team that waits for us a week later.

Do all of the above, and Las Vegas will be seeing a bunch of stars in February.

-First half looked EASY. Like just ripping up a very good Steelers defense on the road. Totally agree we took our foot off the gas for most of the 2nd half; and we still punched them in the mouth to an easy win.

-Drake Jackson might quickly be ascending into a star. Our nascar package on 3rd downs is downright filthy.

-Hargrave didn't show up much on the stat sheet, but if you watch him, he's commanding doubles and was freeing up the LB's all game long. One of Warner's nasty back-field hits was only possible because of the tremendous push Hargrave got. He's gonna be sick.

-Purdy is just flat out good. Makes quick decisive reads, gets the ball out on target and takes what the defense gives him. And the real important element with him is that when we need him to make an explosive play; either creating time in the backfield to find a throw, or attacking downfield, he has that in his bag when needed. Had a play in the late 2nd where a corner had a free run at him, he felt the pressure, spun out of the hit and throws a dart to Deebo for the first down. That sort of playmaking has been the Achilles heel of the Jimmy G run offenses; he's just physically incapable of making that play.

-Most RB's don't matter, but CMC certainly does. His vision and patience when hitting a hole is just flat out incredible to watch and he's just so damn explosive. Not to mention being the best RB route runner in the NFL.
Drake Jackson looks bigger/stronger while still being explosive. He had a good day, but a lot of that was Hargrave and Armstead blowing up the interior of Pittsburg's line. I don't recall the Niners blitzing much or at all yesterday. That's the power of that defensive front. .

Yeah our front 4 is absolutely as advertised. They were getting insane pressure with just 4. Steelers O-Line was supposed to be much better this year and we just made em look like swiss cheese.
