People were up in arms about this Becky-Trish match getting pulled from Summerslam but considering how bad Trish has looked here, maybe Triple H was just trying to keep her from embarrassing herself in front of 70,000 people?

WTF?
I remember the wrestler who was Corporal Kirchner had a Leatherface gimmick in Japan that I think also showed up a few times in ECW and Juggalo wrestling and this isn't him (because he dead). Was someone else using the gimmick? Or was this whole match just a garbage match built around a marketing gimmick?

goodness.

also does the world really need another assymetrical horror survival game and wasn't Leatherface already in the one people actually played?

Can't believe that they finally gave Dragon Lee something interesting to do in NXT and that interesting thing turned out to be a feud with Dominick Mysterio.

Jesus man this sucks :(
Losing Windham and Funk in a single 24 hour span is rough. Especially when rumors made it sound like Bray was on the verge of getting cleared for a return.
Oof. Man, really rough reminder that COVID is still a thing.
Man, this one got me pretty good when I first saw it. Bray Wyatt, hands down, is in my top 10 (maybe even 5) all-time WWE personalities. Windham was PURE GOLD as Bray. Somewhere in my top 10 (or 5) is also THE Fiend.

I must say that, amongst the many things that the WWE have, historically, been able to do extremely well, tribute shows after a wrestler's passing are all, collectively, very high on the list.

Smackdown was, somewhat oddly enough, VERY emotional for me to watch tonight. Almost gave me flashbacks to the Owen Hart RAW tribute right after he passed.

Rest Well, Windham. You will be missed.

Worse, it was Tony Khan

Also Cornette was hyping MJF up as the greatest wrestler in 30 years prior to Dynamite debuting. I’d say he was a fully established talent, Cody’s best friend who turns a month into tv and sets up one of the best feuds of early AEW.

I’m guessing the next two guys on the list would be Hook and Wardlow, although Wardlow had 5 years in the indies and Hook is a legacy.

The Bucks and Omega never worked WWE, either. That doesn't make them homegrown. MJF made his AEW debut at the top of the card; Caster and Bowens debuted on Dark.
Next thing you gonna tell me they must be trained in <location> under <named wrestler> to be legit...

Darby Allin was known in the indie scene before but he also debuted on Dark. So were the Private Party but they were also in indie shows before. I guess they can't be "homegrown" either by your definition.

Yeah... I don't know but you guys' stingy definition would makes it so basically everyone comes from somewhere of their own and if they had any success outside they won't be able to be called a "homegrown".

But then again, Real Madrid footb... soccer team barely ever cared for their youth division, most of their trophies were won by bringing in top-level talents in their primes. So I guess the "homegrown" tag really only means something to someone who has put an emphasis on building it and those who want to come up with something negative to say about something on the internet.

* shrug *
