Throw in Domas not playing up to his standard, Keegan only being alive for 1 of the 4 games.... It's a damn miracle we're 2-2. These are the three guys who have been to the playoffs before too and they're just not up severely underperforming for where we need them to be.

Shout-out Fox for keeping us afloat and quickly ascending to "superstar" status and major shout-out to Davion for breaking out on the biggest stage of his career vs a legend in Steph. His defense is a major reason we're in this position.
Absolutely absurd shooting from those guys especially with defenses focusing on Fox/Sabonis

I think Brown should seriously consider starting him and start matching him minute for minute with Steph as much as possible. I don't think any defender can take a 40 minute assignment on Steph, but Davion's defense on him is about as good as we've honestly ever seen in the playoffs. Steph really did struggle in the half-court to get anything going vs Davion.

When Huerter (and HB) keep bricking shots, there's no reason to keep hitting our head against the wall. Let's put the premium defender on him all game which also allows Fox to save a little bit more of his energy for the offensive end.
agreed if they’re gonna shoot that bad than you might as well put the best perimeter defender out there. His height doesn’t hurt when gsw has no wing players that post up maybe Wiggins but he’s not really gonna hurt fox

I'm not making any changes. These are the guys that got us here and a few poor shooting games shouldn't drop them out of the rotation or the starting lineup.

Brown has done a good job all year of staying consistent through 3 quarters with our guards and wings. He lets them play fairly consistent minutes and then whoever is hot usually winds up finishing the game.

I'm sure some people wanted Keegan pulled from the starting lineup after the first 3 games and then boom, he's on fire the 4th game. Huerter can easily do just the same.

I'm inclined to agree. There are always opportunities to adjust the distribution of minutes throughout the course of a game in response to the effectiveness of your starters. I wouldn't go back to Golden 1 Center and make reactionary changes, not when the Kings' starting 5 was one of the most effective units in the entire NBA this season. The Kings won games 1 and 2 at home despite the cold shooting. They were physical and aggressive and the rotation got the job done. The same was true of game 4 at the Chase Center up until the final few minutes of the game. The defending champs are certainly capable of stealing one on the road, but they've still gotta prove it.

I was really surprised that the Warriors made the change to their starting lineup. We'll see if Brown feels compelled to do the same.

Huerter is losing the matchup with Thompson....and Murray did some good things against him. Maybe Brown will try to dictate the Murray - Thompson matchup with his lineup?

Just watched the last play again. With who we had on the floor, just speaking as a lowly fan, I could see what the warriors would do and why. Now it’s easy to understand why the warriors were so happy to have Barnes taking that shot. And yeah, they were happy. According to clay Thompson. It’s just so aggravating that that’s what they came up with out of a timeout.

Well some thought he should after trading Hali for Domas too.
Except that's a bad comparison because those people weren't calling for McNair's job because they didn't think Sabonis would make the team better, they were calling for his job because they thought Haliburton/Sabonis would have been better than Fox/Sabonis. They weren't mad about the trade because they were anti-Sabonis, they weren't even necessarily mad about the trade because they were pro-Haliburton. They were mad about the trade because they were anti-Fox.

And where did I say anything about trading Keegan for OG?
I don't think it matters that you didn't literally say the words, "The Kings should be willing to trade Keegan Murray to get OG Anunoby," because I don't think that the Kings can get Anunoby without giving up Murray, so it's something that doesn't have to be said; it's sort of implied, by default.

I think this goes without saying, but for any "third star" type of player (Pascal, OG, Beal, Lavine, Bridges etc) the first piece they're going to want is Keegan Murray. There's just no chance you get anyone of that caliber without Keegan being in the deal (obviously Fox/Sabonis too, but they're not getting dealt).

And to me, that's just pushing all-in way earlier than we need to be doing. I look at how well Davion is playing this series, I look at the Keegan explosion game and it just shows how much development these guys still have in their games. Getting impatient is how you become ATL rather than a long-sustained playoff contender/winner

Davion, Len, and Lyles should all be playing more. Davion should start and Len and Lyles should be around 25 minutes each.
So you think Len & Sabonis should get some run together? As a big Len fan, I think it's too risky right now to do that since I doubt they've practiced it. However going into next season (if Len is kept) they should look into that. Len has shown some 3-point skills. If he can play the "PJ Tucker corner 3" spot up role in some sets that lineup could definitely work. Same Sabonis sets, but now you have 2 Great offensive rebounders which would lead to a huge rebounding advantage ... This series isn't the series to try it but for every other non-Curry team, on defense it could work in some cases.

I do agree Len should play 15 minutes or so though. It will keep Sabonis fresher late in games.

Of course they are happy...they got the ball out of Fox's hands and HB missed!! I still don't necessarily have a problem with the shot. I would have rather seen Fox attack earlier, but at the end of the day he got the ball to a good shooter, got a relatively open look and it was on target. We've seen HB hit that shot for a couple game winners in his career. We can psychoanalyze what went through his mind in the split second and if he was having flashbacks to the 2016 finals, but I believe he just freaking missed the shot. It happens. Curry missed a game tying shot in game one.

I know coach Brown is not really reactionary, but I wonder if he is thinking of starting Davion, just to totally frustrate Curry to start off the game. Getting Curry uncomfortable and tired to start the game may really help the Kings cause.
Whether we would start Davion is irrelevant. I think there is no chance that Brown is going to start a new lineup, in game 87.
