It is just after 12a on 3/18/2023.

The 42-27 SACRAMENTO KINGS have a game in approximately 17 hours.

Yes...I DID say THE 42-27 SACRAMENTO KINGS.

Yes...THOSE Sacramento Kings.

The once dysfunctional Sacramento Kings.

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, we played game #82 of the 2021-2022 season. On this day, we won our 30th game of the season, thus concluding what was our 16th consecutive losing season...

16!!!

On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, We sent Tyrese Haliburton to Indiana, who in turn sent Domantas Sabonis to Sacramento. "Terrible move", they all said. "Sacramento will regret trading Tyrese Haliburton", they all said. "The Pacers got the better half of the deal", they all said.

The Indiana Pacers are 32-38 right now. They may not even make the Eastern Conference Play-In.

The Sacramento Kings are currently #2 in the West.

Tell me, Kings fans...Who got the better half of the deal now???

The Wizards have a lackluster roster after all the trades. Focus on Bradley Beal and get the job done.

Both Huerter and Lyles are listed as "Doubtful" for tonight. Trey has a shoulder injury; no further details yet. I would be very surprised if Huerter plays, though.

As usual, will be very interested to see if Coach puts our defensive stopper on Beal... (I swear I'm not related to Kess!)

if Lyles is out I want to see a little Queta… I know it’s not really the right time to experiment with a project type player but Metu’s been awful, Len isn’t worth minutes, and Holmes is also terrible and then MIA.

The last two games seem to have been low-energy and under-performing to expectations by the Kings. Wins were nice but far too close given what we have seen the team able to demonstrate.

It would be nice to see the Kings come out with a "stomp-on-you" attitude each game from here on out to get prepared for playoff intensity. No quarter, no mercy.

I agree with you about the low-energy etc., but to get wins in spite of that is a really good sign. It shows we can find a way to win despite not being at our best, which happens to all teams. To do so on the road bodes particularly well for the playoffs. - Sincerely Vinny Positiverino.

If you look at the individual Defensive Ratings post All-Star break, Chimezie Metu leads the pack at 104.1, followed by Kessler Edwards at 111.6, Malik Monk 111.7, and Trey Lyles at 112.7, all bench players. Terence Davis falls to the very bottom at 136.1. Metu, Lyles, and Monk also lead the team in Net Rating. (All stats are from the NBA site.)

It seems like every game I read complaints about Metu's lack of defensive presence...
