The only thing is, y'all are probably going to get waxed by the Celtics, and with 16 years of losing-related PTSD, a two-game losing streak might be all it takes to kill the feel-good around here.
A .500 road trip was feeling like a best case. but I know everyone wanted to light the beam permanently.

why anyone reacting so strongly to a bad game coming off their first back to back in a month, in a different time zone, with the earliest possible start. but I know how some people are.

My personal concern isn't the beam or this road trip. It's what happens when this team does cool off a bit and/or teams start game planning for them? If this team wants to be a playoff team it's what they do once the season settles down and all these huge 35 ppg nights from everyone in the league start dwindling. I think they need to go back to the drawing board defensively. The blitz is a better option but still wrong for this team.

Slight nitpick: the "earliest possible start" for a non-holiday weeknight would have been a half hour earlier than this game started.

One of the best players in college, highest efficiency. Best player in Cali Classic, one of if not the best player in summer league. Great play in preseason and then great play the first 5 games of the regular season plus a handful more. And now we are supposed to think he sucks?

You think? I don't. Hypothetically, losing to a good team on the road on the second night of a B2B following by a loss on the road to the team w/the best record in the NBA?

Nah.

Despite the Hawks scoring output in the first half the biggest problem was sloppy play on the offensive side by the team. Missing shots that should go in and just feeling a step or two slow (understandable).

I think the defense will come with time. But it's at least overstated when our starters are actually competent defensively most nights.
