I’m probably just feeling yet another L right now. I don’t think we’ll ever win these types of games. And I caught the first half of the Hornets game before having to be elsewhere. Definitely turned it around after I was gone.
most frustrating part of tonight's L was that a team with more experience closing these out wins it going away. Gotta crawl before you can walk or some dumb cliche.

do you really think the time out cost the game and not allowing a frickin 3? Or the horrid defensive rebounding to close out the game?
The defense is what it is, but having a play that allows you to get into your offense quicker is important to any team on the back side of a close one. You always want to use the front end of the clock rather than rely on the other team leaving you time. They got the the tie but no, I wasn't a fan of calling that particular timeout if that was his last one. The play clock wasn't even running out.

We did for the situation. TD is a really good defender when he’s actually locked in on that end. Davion and Delly are as well. Unless you wanted KZ in for Sabonis, I don’t really know where you’d stick him on that possession.
Although TD played good d on that amazing shot, I don't think defense when I think of TD and Deli I think was over used this game. Brown seems to fall in and out of love with players quick. This may have been a small lineup but everyone and they momma knew hero was shooting that ball.

Plus the lineup was there for much longer than that last possession and getting worked on the def end on rebounds we should have changed way befoee this

He called one on the possession before, how many are you supposed to save for the final minute? At some point you run out. Just needed to get that stop on the play before.
They screwed up by allowing Lowery to get a 2 for one by letting the ball roll up with the clock stopped. You have to make them pick up the ball on the in bounds and run the clock under 24 seconds.

Miami finds free agents, gleaguers, and turns them into rough n tumble nba players.
they also overpay for a Duncan Robinson and hell they even want to get rid of Lowry now. They are just a well coached, well executing team. A team to aspire to.

I definitely wish teams would challenge that stupid roll up more. Full agreement there.

I liked the idea of KZ as defensive starter specialist more than the execution. I'd rather Keegan had a good night and be in to close than KZ. I think we got pretty lucky to keep it tied down the stretch as our offense seemed to go pretty stagnant after the shot that put us up 7.
Yeah, what the heck happened with KZ? From starter to not playing. Is he hurt or something?

Good effort tonight, on to the next game at orlando.. if kings can go 2-2 on this road trip I'd consider it a successful road trip. They will have a better chance with Orlando.. a young inexperience team on the level of the kings. Doubt they will beat the warriors.

+yup.

He's a very good defender when locked in, which he was, AND the best rebounding guard on the team, which could easily have come into play.

The Warriors have been struggling. Their idea to fill their bench with nothing but high upside prospects has sorta screwed them to start the year. It’s probably not as unwinnable as it might have looked before the season, especially if Fox plays.

All this good effort comments.

At what point should we expect to win games? Honest question. I mean when do we say that we should have won a game? On paper I dont see how Miami without butler is the better team yet. We always seem to lose when the teams Star player is out. Everytime I see it I expect a loss these days

not patting anyone on the back or celebrating a moral victory here.

Miami also had the most wins in the eastern conference last season and just played us five days ago. Plus we were also missing our best player.

That’s a shame.

Kings would’ve deserved a win here. They played a good game pretty much all the way through. Just couldn’t put a big run together to get the separation. It was pretty much the same mode all the way through for both teams.

Not a whole lot to dissect. It was a back and forth game and Heat got the last good shot which I thought was defended well. Refs were fairly true to form in the 4th and made a couple trash calls but mostly had a good game.

Kings lost because they allow too many second chance opportunities. Everything else in this game was pretty much dead even.

10 points for Dedmon bothers me but only because he sucked so bad on the Kings I think it takes a lot of nerve to decide to be worth a damn when he plays against the Kings..but that’s just fan stuff.

Great game for Domas. Refs let him play and the results speak for itself. The most slick he’s looked in the high post to this point.

Another strong game for Huerter and Monk had the performance we need from him off the bench.

Holmes actually had pretty good minutes in this game I thought.

This is definetly a rough one for Keegan. Maybe the first game where he actually looked like a rookie at different moments. Cold shooting too. Though I still felt he should’ve been in at the end of the game

Davion also had a rough night.

Barnes needs to hit those corner threes but he made 2-3 good drives in the 4th where he was clearly fouled and couldn’t get a whistle.

Quiet game for Lyles

More good minutes for Delly. He actually does play good defense. I always figured he’d be scrappy as far hustle and loose balls but wouldn’t really be an effective defensive player but he’s out there pressuring and making plays.

Kings just need to take care of business @ORL and clinch atleast a split on the road trip. They are trending in the correct direction with their play as opposed to opening 4 game skid. Just need to play consistent and the wins will come.

At this point you still have to look at the positives that are there, the question is whether they continue with Fox back. Monk is settling into that chaotic game changer (for the for the better or worse haha, he is what he is) and Davion is getting some minutes to sort his game out.

It just depends how one sees it. I personally think we're still a developing team who will not make the playoffs this year, so I don't expect us to win. If we're able to at the very least be competitive and show signs of growing that is all we can ask for at the moment.

He was out there to be able to switch on everything - and played VERY nice D on Herro.

Great offense beats great defense. Hella shot by Herro.
TD played very nice D on Herro? I just don't recall anything sticking out. But even if so, TD isn't known for his D. He is known for bonehead moves tho, and I wouldn't put him in there on D last play of game just for risk of fouling alone.

We new the ball was prob going to Lowry or Herro. Davion I trust on Lowry.. anyone else to switch on had size on TD.
I'd have gone with Murray for the size and IQ.
