Okpala as a lockdown defender makes sense against an offense that is focused on a Lillard, or a Paul George, but a well-oiled machine like the Warriors who can score from everywhere can't be locked down with one defender. So in that case, perhaps there's a lot of use to have an offensive player in there, rather than Okpala, who allows the other team to play 5-on-4.
