Well we finally put the car in drive and the second quarter looked much better. Defensive effort has improved noticeably but my god when did Grant turn into Harden to earn all them free throw attempts?

I still don’t think I ever saw Bogi as a smart player in his time here.

Ginger *THE IDEA OF* Bogi, not the actual Bogi.
I'm only basing this answer on memory but I think I agree with this.

There's a fine line between being "smart" and being "direct", Bogi had worked himself into tunnels at times.

If it works, it's a good idea.

If Okpala gets 6, Brown pretty much probably goes with both, haha. Or Barnes plays the rest of the game. Thankfully the supuerdupersmallball unit worked, Barnes got some good rest in that 2nd half. Was on pace to play the whole game at one point lol.
the small ball unit worked because aside from Grant, all of the Blazers forwards/wings essentially play like guards anyways and Huerter is big/physical enough to not get completely run over by Grant every possession.
Sharpe getting really hot from the field helped mask the fact that the blazers have like one good player on their bench and he’s currently out with an injury.

Brown wants this team to take 40 threes per game and they took 23 in the first half.

Better yet, after a slow start they're up to 43.5% from outside.

The Blazers have a slightly better 3p% but on a lot fewer attempts (5/11)
The Blazers offense reminds me so much of the Luke Walton offense from his first year in Sacramento. Lots of standing around on the perimeter until the big sets one screen at the top of the key hoping to rub his guy off onto the ballhandler and then sheer panic for the rest of the possession when that inevitably doesn't work.

well see, the Blazers also have a coach who has no business in his job.
