REMINDER: Some topics are suitable for the game thread. Others aren't. It's not that tough a concept to grasp.

Didn't the Kings fall behind in this one when they went small though?
They basically stayed even once he took out Joseph and gave Fox space. It was in spurts. Also, there were a few subs but again, the noticeable difference is when Barnes and Ariza are out there. That's the glue of that unit.

So our offense is bad, our defense stinks, the announcers are terrible, Bjelli is about to get shut down, and our coach is terrible... it's good to have a place to come get some perspective! ;-)

when they pulled Fox it was a 3 point game. 2 minutes later they pulled Bjelica and it was still a 2 point game. 2 minutes later it was an 11 point game.
They started to attack the Kings inside. That's why playing small is going to have some process behind it. Not having Holmes makes it much less effective but again, it appears to be the most consistent effective lineup. Runs are going to happen.

This is the same basic adjustment we saw in the last game too. Bjelica now is just staying out. Keep the middle clear and force the Magic to go small again. Which is what teams have been doing lately. The Magic aren't nearly as comfortable doing it though.

That's not fair. If the Magic are going to play big then the refs need to give the Kings the benefit of the doubt. Bjelica has been robbed on a few calls tonight where he defended well.

Hall of Famer
Is it a coincidence that despite the occasional brain farts, the Kings are usually better with Giles on the floor? I think not.

They finally have the right idea about playing way off of Birch. They can't let anyone else get a clean spot shot though. Make Birch beat you from the outside.
