Is there any doubt that Belichick would have figured out how to beat Jackson in a rematch. Granted Patriots offense sucked this year but I think Bill Belichick would have definitely found a way to slow Jackson.

Another year and another running QB floundering when it matters.

Russell Wilson is kind of a running QB but I always considered him a passer first as that's his goal to get a pass off. Plus Wilson is super smart and can play from the pocket if needed.

I think they may have been able to win a home game but it's kinda a moot point. They didn't stop anyone the second half of the season.

After going 0-4 on predictions last week, I’m 2-0 today.

Hope I’m 3-1 after tomorrow with Houston pulling an upset, though I don’t see that happening.

For a team that once beat my team in the Super Bowl I don’t harbor a lot of resentment for the Ravens (unlike say, the Anaheim Angels whom I still despise with every fiber of my sports being) but it was nice to see them get knocked the hell out.

Also; Lamar Jackson is Prime Kaepernick. He’s going to get dinged up, he’s going to lose a step, he’s going to stagnate, he’s going to get solved.

I hate them less than the Steelers, which is why they aren't on my most hated list (Jets, Raiders, Steelers for the record with an honorable mention to any Manning lead team).

What's going to happen is he's going to get paid and the rest of the team will suffer. This happens to every young QB and only a few of them are able to solve it. Wilson was the last. Mahomes about to be next to find out.

Lucky for you 9ers fans you already paid Jimmy.

Even though I don't watch football, I find myself being forced to absorb a lot of football conversations by osmosis, because of the things I do watch. I strikes me as weird that "solving" is something that does not seem to be universally applied to young quarterbacks that struggle, after a fast start. I certainly don't remember anybody talking about Baker Mayfield being "solved," for instance.

Anyway, the only reason I even came in here was because this tweet made me laugh, and I wanted to share it:

Baker Mayfield has yet to create any problems requiring solving. Jackson is a legitimate dual threat but the question will always be if you take away his ability to run can he beat you with his arm alone? Also noteworthy is the fact that the Ravens were a division winning caliber team with one of the worst starting QBs in the league prior to Jackson's arrival.

Correct even when he was playing "well" as a rookie, Baker wasn't doing anything special or different that other QBs don't already do regularly.

Also Slim if you actually did pay attention to football you'd know that Baker Mayfield is a media creation (mostly because he constantly runs his mouth and he's good for a quote and ensuing controversy that they can run with.) Baker gets media attention and commercials but in terms of ability he's nothing special. The results have certainly bore that out.

No, Lamar is what Kaepernick was supposed to be if he ever developed as a thrower. The system Roman has around him is fantastic and lead to the Ravens being the best offense in football this year. Just perfectly suited around his talents, something more coaches should learn to do.

Think the Titans are just "that" team that's stumbled onto something that teams are just stumped how to solve right now. Hyper-efficient pass offense and the 245 pound mack truck Henry coming at you the whole game along with solid defense.

Kap was fine until they had to pay him and the team decided they didn't want him running crazy exposed to big hits once they had cap committed to him. Jackson's style still will have an 8-10 year shelf life vs. a QB who lives in the pocket and gets all the benefits of the rules designed to prolong the careers of elite QBs.

Only seen the score but why am I not surprised? This just had trap game + matchup issues written all over it. Chiefs are a team that can legitimately put up 4 TDs in a quarter though. Problem is they have no defense.
