That's a very true statement, but considering most probably expected 3-6, I think the Kings might steal a game or 2. (That said, I expect about 8 losses, keeping the Kings in striking distance of .500)
The November schedule has a range of playoff teams, but I agree, I don't see why they can't come out of it with 5 or 6 wins, especially with how they are playing early.

Timberwolves, Lakers, Clippers and even the Spurs at home are all winnable. They already beat OKC. Houston is not playing well. They already beat Memphis once. They played the Jazz close. They beat the Warriors twice last year. They have had Toronto's number recently (although they are a different team with Leonard). It will be a good test to see where they are, but I don't think it is murderer's row.

Simple poll. Snapshot at this moment, based on all available information.

Have you adjusted your expectations based on early returns? Is what you are seeing a .500 team?

No haters.
41 was the goal - at least I thought so....it is a lofty projection given all the good teams out there. When the Kings start beating playoff that's when 41 is realistic. I like it as a lofty goal.

Its a long season, but great to see the Kings come together offensively on the road to start.

Lets see how they fare against a good Bucks team. It'll be a challenge

Who cares what the rest of the NBA world sees at this point? The rest of the world isn't going to notice until we take them by the scruff of the neck and force them to. I don't expect them to win at Milwaukee, but that right there would be a wakeup call to the rest of the league (and the rest of the world). When Bogdanovich comes back, we're going to be damn good.

I understand being cautious but at a certain point we are just going to have to accept the fact that we are a good team. Not only are Fox, WCS, and Hield playing much better than they did last year, they are doing it night after night. That core should be able to compete with that of practically every other team. On top of that, Bagley is putting in good minutes every time he steps on the floor and we added Bjelica who is proving valuable. Plus Bogdan isn't even back yet. In short, the players we retained have taken huge steps forward, and we added valuable pieces. We have every reason to improve by 14 or more wins from last year.

So yes; we are going .500.

how many of our no voters are just being cautious is my main question.

if we stay healthy, i dont see how we are not going to win 40 games running teams out of town and winning on the road like we are

Pretty much this.

I have not voted as I have no idea. But if they continue playing like this barring injuries they just may keep surprising us.
They seem like they just may win more of the games they should and really put pressure on some of the better teams in the league.
I remember the day when being around 500 may put you into the playoffs.
But we will see!

I really think it’s funny that’s a great player like Barkley who has never liked us is rooting for us when you have a ex king laughing at us. I think the Jet would get run into the ground by Fox. That was worse than what Webber did with his all star presentation to bogi.

If I remember right it usually takes a few stars to win a championship he was not one of them.

Maybe it's just me, but the thread title should be -- 42 wins this season? Yes or No

Better than .500 should be the goal, not .500. Just my opinion, of course.
