Somebody calm my fears about his knees.

It's some risk (how much?) but swapping #10 for #15 and #20 you have one pick of two to take that risk.

Meh, I think those were both wasted picks but that's what I expected. It's pretty rare the front office cherry picks the same guys I do. But hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised. At least we got Fox. I can't be mad after that.

My feelings exactly. Completely underwhelmed with two of our three picks but that's the same as last year on draft day for me so I'll wait and see.

Giles eh?

Not a huge fan of this pick but if Vlade liked Jackson at 10 then you're playing with house money so you might as well gamble.

Maybe the biggest boom or bust pick in the draft.

I like as the SECOND part of the down trade that got Jackson. Sure big time gamble but big time reward if he pans out.

So Jay Bilas said that Giles, if healthy, was basically a Chris Webber. Ok, Ok.....if he comes back to anything near what he was then it would be incredible. Worth the risk with 2 picks in the bank already.

with pick 20 instead of 1. Unlike Oden, no rush with him, he can take 2-3 years if needed without playing any NBA game. If he recovers to 90% of what he was before injuries it will be worth it ... and we do not need him any time soon.

I think of him as 2019 draft pick we will not have.

Giles has a nice toolbox of skills, it's on the coaching staff to bring it all out. He plays with relentless energy and his passion is bar none. It will be contagious. Just hope to the basketball gods his health stays intact long term.

Wish I watched some Giles film, but the idea in theory is fantastic. Go for the home-run pick when we need home-run talent. The dude obviously has the pedigree to be great.

We have Hield, Fox, Bogdan, Skal, WCS, Jackson, Malachi, and PapaG. We can afford to take a chance on the guy who was the top HS player two years ago.

We might be paying for him to rehab the whole time he's here. Fox was fine. There were five standouts in the draft and we were guaranteed one of them. I didn't like trading the 10th pick because Collins will probably be better than both Jackson and Giles combined.

I like the Giles pick at 20. No need to rush him, if he pans out great and possible super steal, if not he was the 20th pick. This is the kind of thing a San Antonio type team does or back when we were good made Petrie look so smart.

OG continues falling. Might be red flagged due to injury (and interviews I guess). Sam Vecenie has said for month that OG is lower on executives' board than that of the public. I wonder how much this has to do with DX hyping OG up.

Kenny Smith just raved about Giles. And I heard another NBA show yesterday where they said they thought Giles would be the steal of this draft, even if he didn't regain his explosiveness. Sometimes you have to roll the dice on greatness instead of opting for sure fire mediocrity.
