While I doubt the Knicks wind up moving their young stud centerpiece, what would you be willing to give up for the 7'3" Latvian?

WCS/5/KK for Porzingis/Noah and if he willing to trade 10 as well.

Skal/Porzingis/Hield is GSW like spacing and Porzingis is already an elite defender he's gonna be a 20-10 elite defender those don't grow on trees

For Porzingis:

The 10th pick anything on the Kings roster.

I would trade the 10 straight up. If the Knicks want one of the young Kings players, that's ok too.

Easily both picks in this draft + some young gun not named Buddy and Skal it would be a dream come true for me as a Latvian he is a franchise player easily. I would not had root for the Knicks then lmao

And he is a workhorse, he would love Sacramento fans and the fans would love him.

I don't think I would give up both picks, the Kings are still in asset collection mode, Zinger doesn't make us a winner or more likely to get free agents to be able to surround him with talent. Plus he plays the position where we have arguably our most talent with WCS, Skal, and Papagiannis as bigs, so he's not complementary to what we have, while the 5, and 10 are in a draft deep in PG and Wing talent, which is complimentary to what we have.

He's absolutely a star... but getting him can't be an endgame for us, or we'll wind up as the Knicks west.

I'd trade the 10, Papagiannis, rights to Bogdan, and eat Noah's salary, however. After that you could get a PG with the 5th pick, and hopefully in next year's draft you could snag a wing and have rebuilt before we lose the '19 pick.

Someone will probably outbid that, however, and they probably should. The problem is the Kings don't have enough talent or assets to be making asset consolidation moves. The Sixers are there. The Suns are potentially there, The Lakers as well. The Kings are just starting a rebuild. We could be close... if Malachi comes back and hits, Skal is as good as he was own the stretch, WIllie keeps developing, Papa takes another step, Buddy plays the same way he did down the stretch, and we hit on both picks along with Bogdan coming over and adapting immediately. Tons of ifs though, and not really the type of ifs most front offices in the league would give up assets to bet on.

I dont think he is a proven franchise player. He can get nice stats but ive seen plenty of nights from him where he shot poorly or could not stay on the court due to injury. He is young but really did not show much growth between year 1 and 2. I think the "New York" lore and hype have sort of made him out to be this great franchise #1 option piece but in reality that is not the case.

That said he can still play and grow but i'm not giving up the farm for him, 10 and a player gets it done but anything crazy like 5 and 10 is silly for a team in our situation IMO.

Well, he's going to want triangle fits, and I think we have some options for him. He also needs to win immediately if he trades Porzingis, so future draft picks are probably not as enticing as they would normally be. My best and final would be WCS/KK/5/Bogdan and we would also eat Noah's contract. I'd start at those players and the 10, but I doubt that gets it done. We would need to keep the 10 though to try to get Monk/Smith/Mitchell/Kennard.

I'd be happy to trade our two first round picks plus one of WCS or Pappa since we'd likely use Porzingis at C so it makes one of those prospects expendable. I guess we could try to fob them off with Koufos, but I suspect they'd want one of our bigs. I'd even consider throwing in Malachi, since Buddy is our starter and if Bogdanovic comes over and we bring back Ben we've got enough depth at the SG.

If it's possible to get him, I wouldn't be against doing a trade for him. However, I don't think we will go after him. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if the 76ers make a move that includes draft picks and/or the likes of Okafor and maybe even Saric. Imagine if they fielded a line up thay features Fultz, Simmons, Porzingis and Embiid. All they'd need is a SG (Stauskas?) and I think they'd make steady improvements in the win column.

I would give up 10, KK, and AA for Porzingis and Noah. Draft Fox (let us hope) and have a lineup of: Fox, Buddy, Bogdan?, Porzingis, WCS.

I'd really hate to include any of the young guys, but I would throw in Papa G if I had to. If they asked for WCS, then I'm not so sure.

I absolutely Love Porzingis.. I'm not sure what to give up though.. I don't think Skal-Porzingis works on defense. Skals' too much of a weak link as a defensive rebounder. We'd need a hard-nose rebounder alongside Porzingis who's an elite shotblocker. This makes me really really inclined to give up Skal. I'll have no problem giving up Bogdanovic. If Willie can learn to become a dominant rebounder, he'd be a great fit next to Porzingis, but he's still weak.

I try keep our current youth but leverage anything else. As others have noted Skal might not fit but im down for trying it and shipping Skal out later once its evident it doesnt work and his trade value is higher

Vlade i dont have any faith in you when it comes to trades but you need to get on this.

With Skal, there's a good chance that his trade value is at a peak right now. If Skal has a rough 2nd year, teams won't even bother with him.

There is a lot of value if we could keep one of the picks (no way we keep #5 and get Kristaps) and take Noah's corpse back

Sign Ingles as FA and maybe a journey man 4 and overpay DC on a 2 year contract to have PG stability.

We would be an awful rebounding team. Probably be a bottom 3 team, get another good pick next year. Maybe cut/stretch Noah in 2019? Or trade him as an ender to someone else who wants to do the same.



BTW, I doubt that NY does this.

A passing big man who was on this team 6 months ago would have been great on the Triangle and made this trade more possible.

I'd think Phil would have the belief that he could have made him more zen.

Not enough to get him.

The pick makes me nervous, but if he is there at 10, Lauri would be a low stakes gamble for something that may turn out to be a similar player. Superior in outside shooting, but not as good of an athlete or as versatile.

Porzingis isnt elite defender, not even close. Actually he is a bad defender. Bad pick n roll defender, too slow footwork to guard fours and isnt a rim protector at 5.

Obviously he is young so he can develope but he is never going to be an elite defender. He can become a defender that is not a liability though and in right enviroment that can be a likely outcome
