That's awful. I don't know you well enough to sense sarcasm with that but as a TRUE Kings fan I think that statement means you have to turn in your Kings fan card permanently. Definitely a lopsided trade but this kinda stuff from fans is overboard. If you are so done with the Kings emotionally why even continue to read or post here about the Kings? You obviously are still invested.
Do you know what the word tempted means?
At least the Lakers have decent leadership in Jeannie Buss. The Kings are an absolute trash organization. I am finished making excuses and defending them.
Yeah I'm probably still invested. But I want to see the organization fail over and over now, until Vivek is gone.
I love my city. I love the people who work for the Kings I cherish my memories. But I have realized through this that the memories are about the people you share them with, not allegiance to a brand. I am a fan of people and a city more than the word "Kings". And, in my thinking, because I have self respect, I will no longer spend money or root for a brand run by this leadership to do well.
If anything I'm probably a Pelicans fan now.
I'll wait for the MLS to come to Sac. Until then, there's baseball.
This trade, along with the Malone firing, is not incompetence, in my view. It is a deep betrayal of the trust the fans place in the organization. I no longer think the governing forces of the Kings are acting in good faith. Most people, if they saw things things that way, would react how I'm reacting.
You are free to be a fan or not be a fan however you want. But spare me the lecture.
In any case, maybe I will root for the Lakers. But only when they play the Kings. I'm not claiming the moral high ground here. I will be honest and say I would delight in seeing this organization embarrassed. I will root for Boogie everytime he plays the Kings too. I hope that makes you mad. And if it does, I'd root right in your face.
