I am guessing however its a misunderstanding, and its a $14 million total offer, not $14mil per year, which would be out of left field unless this is being driven by Joerger being some sort of enormous fan..

If the price for Waiters is 14 mil then please just offer Crabbe 18 or 20 mil per year and hope the Blazers don't match after giving Parsons a 25 mil per year contract

Not entirely true there. And with Rondo, its a point of respect. Despite some overriding silliness in the Kings fanbase, that is/was a major player coming through town. In any other circumstance likely a guy who would not even give Sacto the time of day. You want it to work and his head to be in the right place, you pay him for his abilities. And again, despite the strange Sacto fan self-loathing, Rondo was worth that contract.

Lakers are apparently signing Mozgov to a 4 year/$64M deal.

$16 million a year for Mozgov.

Yeah, as a better player with half the salary I'll say Koufos will have significant value in the trade market for sure.
