King or Kings?

Jazz

Basketball?

Elevation 4,300 ft. (At least it's not in Denver.)

Utah scones (What's not to love about deep-fried dough, slathered with whipped honey butter? These massive treats — a take on the Mexican sopaipilla — are often the size of dinner plates and shouldn't be confused with dainty English scones served with tea.)

Yes, the Trailblazers beating the Jazz kept the Kings two games out of the 8th seed.

But it also bumped Portland ahead of Sacramento by a half game in the standings.

Portland. Who lost four of their five starters from last year either through free agency (Aldridge, Matthews, and Lopez as well as sixth man Afflalo) or trades (Batum for Henderson and Vonleh - 6.8 pts/2.4 rbs and 3.1pts/3.8 rbs respectively) and traded their late first round pick RHJ for Mason Plumlee.

That team is better than the Kings.

Frustrating.

A loss tonight would drop them into a tie with the Nuggets.

I keep waiting for this team to "put it together" or "turn the corner" but I'm starting to feel that the this is just a bad basketball team.

Frustrating.

I'm opting to go on an art walk instead.

There will be free wine!

Good luck watching our beloved goofballs tonight!

Go Kings!

If there was ever a must win this early in the season, this is it. With how inconsistent we've been playing, we may not be able to recover if we go down a full 3 games to the Jazz.

That, is what causes Kings fans to have such dramatic swings of emotions after each loss or win. If we won the games we should've won (Blazers, Sixers, Pelicans etc), we would be in 7th right now.

If this team has any pride and if they truly want that play off spot, then we will win today.

This is basically a game that in a weird twisted way is worth 2 wins for us! :)

must win. This is an absolute must win.

Lose this and we can tinker into the abyss

Nobody should ever say these sorts of things about these Kings. Tell them its a game they should or need to win, and they apparently go out for a pub crawl 90 minutes before the game.

I'd personally go with the "woe is us! we are dirtier than dirt! heartless cowards! we have no chance and its an embarrassment to even live in the same solar system as these fools!" approach, because that pretty much guarantees a good showing.

watch them win this one. in all honesty....no body even knows anymore who is showing up so you just take it for what it is. I'll maybe turn this off early if I must to save my misery

nothing like trade rumors to really help a team come out focused on the game at hand.

There appears absolutely no rhyme or reason to when they are focused or not, so who knows. As far as we know it might be whether they get the strained yams or the strained beets for breakfast.

Watching the pre-game, Doug Christie says what I feel exactly:

"Don't talk about it, be about it."

I like his attitude, I like his philosophy of the game...

"You're asking for an excuse, Guy, and I'm not giving you one. There is no damned excuse."

"There's nothing to say, just go out and play."

Amen, Mr. Christie. Amen!

This team is losing me but I'll hang in and watch tonight. What else is there to do? Win or lose, it will be the kind of basketball I don't like. When that coach came out last night at halftime and said one of the keys is that they need to play faster. Simple minded crap!
