I blame a lot of it on our bench unit. Casspi, Butler, and Belinelli are useless on the boards. They cannot box out to save their life.

There's a serious lack of effort out there after two f'ing days rest and only the 4th game of the year with a chance at a .500 record. And Mem is awful. If we actually tried, we'd be up 10+.

the Grizzlies scored 50 points, that's a good half for them. This is the perfect opponent to play after a 50 point loss.

That's what it is. Rondo looks like he would rather be playing skip-o. Kosta hasn't jumped since tipoff. Collison jacking shots like he is Steph. Omri became allergic to rebounding. Butler thinks he is at a classic car show and can't touch

I'd like to see us start feeding Ben. He needs more than 1 shot attempt in an entire half. I think we need to get more PnRs going with Rondo and Kofus. I'm scared to do it with WCS, because they'll just foul him.

Observations at the half:

Rudy Gay is not a PF!

I hate the fact that George Karl likes to play Rudy at the PF spot. That would work against a VERY minimal number of teams, NOT including Memphis. You really want to ask him to go and contain Zach Randolph? Good luck with that. I don't care what advantages putting Rudy at SF may give us on the offensive end, it just won't work. He's an extremely long small forward who has a knack for scoring, but if you take him out of that position he loses his advantages instantly. I dislike seeing that.

Small ball isn't working!
In the 2nd quarter, we threw out a three guard line up of Ben, Rondo, and Collison. It was a failure in every sense of the word. You get the sense that Karl is trying desperately to mold this team into the Nuggets squad that he led to 50 wins. We just don't have the players for that. Even without DMC, he should be more competitive than this.

Someone Box Out!
Memphis has had about 2 or 3 put-back dunks which were spectacular, where the Grizzlies' energy just surpassed that of the Kings. The effort, execution, and hustle isnt there
