I understand the concept. But the same reason we lost both clipper games. We can't stop anybody with small ball down the stretch but it continues to be used. I will admit it does have its advantages at time during a game but Karl falls so in love with the offensive part of it that he forgets the defense in last 5 of a game when you need stops

In terms of offense, yes.

In terms of defense, I don't know. If Rudy can hold his own with the big men of Memphis, or at least make it just a bit tough for them, we have a shot at winning. But say that their big men get hot, we're toast on D because we don't have length and muscle.

I suppose in Karl's case...once a small ball coach, always a small ball coach. Abandoning what got you so many wins as a coach is hard to do.
