Fantastic signing. If my math is right the Kings have enough to make one more decent offer before hitting the salary cap. Then the room exception for Casspi and the veterans minimum for Miller and one more deep bench player.

I'm very happy to eat crow about the Philly trade. After watching Petrie sign undersized bigs at the MLE every offseason and PDA let Tyreke go for nothing, get used by Iguodala and then panic and sign Landry I was ready for more of the same. For the Kings to overpay for pieces that don't fit.

And when the Kings got used as leverage for Ellis and Matthews it looked like history repeating itself.

But what Vlade has done since has been pretty close to masterful, at least on paper. I am fully onboard with the Vladfather right now.

Josh Smith, Casspi, Miller and a surprise lock down defender from the summer league. Done.

I like the signing, and I do think that he is, generally, an upgrade over Thompson. I don't know if he's $2M a year worth of an upgrade, but I'll chalk that up to the "Sacramento" tax. Strong offseason by Divac!
I loved JT. But I admit we needed a big change. This is the only possible way to overhaul a team without giving up any of your core. Only two players remain that went through the team sale 2 years ago

Didn't expect 33 million to get Koufos but I will take it. Vlade getting it done on a holiday too none the less. We now have legitimate size Cousins, WCS, Koufos and Moreland. I hope Moreland really gets a chance to show what he can do...he needs to stay healthy too, that would help.

Good to see you becoming more positive about the Phili trade, I was thorn between them.
