Kings trade JT, Nik and Landry to Sixers (renamed)

this was kinda brilliant move really. big ups to Vlade. We weren't a player, and now we are, and we dumped three guys that we showed little use for last season. Even JT was on the outs down the stretch. Now we can do combos of major contributors, then top it off with swaths of Omris and Dahntay Joneses and Andre Millers. this is how you go from 3 big contributors last year, to maybe 6 this year if we score 2, and WCS pans out. 7 even if Ben advances in a less important role.

Agree.. We needed better players, and it looks like we're going to turn the rubbish into better players. Let's face it, we weren't just ging to add WCS and then all of a sudden turn into a 50 win team.. We needed to clear out players that don't work.

Might want to hold that tongue until we hear what draft pick we give up

I liked pre-injury mathews alot, however knowing that we will have to overpay by a large margin to someone coming off probably the most serious injury in sports could end very badly........Oh well this is Sacramento and beggers cant be chosers.

Ellis and Rondo won't come together. I live in Dallas and they didn't play well with each other down the stretch, and there were rumors they didn't get along, so I think a Rondo/Ellis backcourt is conjecture rather than realistic rumor

I love that Matthews is in the mix and all and not to be a debbie downer but if it's one thing that WE as Kings fans have learned....we more often than not get left with option b, c or d as far as free agency is concerned. I'm not holding my breath on Wes but Rondo/Ellis sure looks like a real possibility now. Another positive I can take out of this...this can open up some serious playing time for Moreland if he shows out again in Vegas.

Our philosophy is:

A) We take your underperformering stars and give them new environment to salvage their careers with the hope that the gamble we took is reciprocated if they come back to life through a longer term signing

B) We overpay to get you players in when others wont

Welcome to Sac!

What the hell I take a shower and come back and this has blew up. Quick note what is our cap at now and how many bigs does Philly have on contract

If it's a future pick, and we get better because of what's going on, who cares? Go big or go home.
Because we already owe one 1st first round pick and if we owe another, then we're out of luck for future trades and assets going forward. That one 1st round pick owed to the Bulls has held us back from trades at the deadline for years.
