Kings trade JT, Nik and Landry to Sixers (renamed)

Damn that's a good deal for the Spurs.

The Nets have agreements now: Thad Young (4 years, $50M) and Brook Lopez (3 years, $60M). Both deals w/ player option.

Edit:

Dragic - 5/90 mil (Heat)
Milsap - 4/80 (Magic)
Ellis - 3/32 (Pacers)
Middleton - 5/70 (Bucks)
Ellis' deal isn't agreed to yet, no? Although that's likely too rich for us. Seems like Rondo might be inevitable, although Ellis to Pacers would eliminate another Stuckey suitor.

Ellis won't come here, don't think Rondo will either.

we will be left with the absolute scrap heap that no one else wants. Thats what you get for not rebuilding properly and giving bloated contracts to people like Landry and JT.

Free Agency hasnt started yet, just the negotiation period, so no deals have been signed yet.

Why all the doubt about Rondo signing? There is strong mutual interest and I don't see any others clamoring for him. Time to be positive.
I agree, although you never know. If, say, Beverly signs elsewhere, I could see the Rockets swooping in to sign Rondo. But there aren't many other teams I could see as potential landing spots for him.

I also don't think Rondo will come, althought I hope he does.

He is realistically the only "impact" FA signing I could see us having a chance with.

Nah, he has ties here. Friends and whatnot. I am sure we're probably one of the only suitors for him as well. I think it's pretty much a done deal that he's here.

I am sure we're going after Stuckey too which is fine being that Karl likes two guards that can handle. Stuckey can go to SG if McLemore sucks again this year.

Yes. But the other deals you mentioned at least have been agreed to. Not so with Ellis, at least yet.
OK so you're Monta Ellis. Just pretend for a minute.

Your cell phone rings and you can see that it is Larry Bird. You pick it up and he says "I want you to be a Pacer, and I'm not gonna stop bugging you until you are a Pacer. I want you bad, and I'm going to pay you".

Then your cell phone rings and you can see that it is Vlade Divac. I mean seriously do you even pick it up???

No, and that goes for almost every FA.

What kills me is that our three best players are on bargain contracts, but because of Landry and JT contracts we have chump change to work with. 12 million between those two, and they project as a guy who cannot even see the floor and a 20 min a night 3rd big.

I'll reiterate this until we either sign Rondo or not: You get the guy and worry about spacing later. You target your highest priorities first.
I guess I just don't see starting PG as a high priority - especially if you are looking at an oft-injured, bad teammate, poor shooting malcontent as an "upgrade" for $10 million a year. Our starting 5 were among the best in the NBA last season (especially under Malone) - why are we looking so much at addressing problems that don't exist? Our bench needs fixing, not Collison. He's not the best, but he isn't a major problem, either.

That wasn't my point. My point was only that the post listed a number of deals that had been agreed to in principle (and of course not signed yet, given that they cannot be signed until the 9th). That post included Ellis to Indiana, even though that deal has not been agreed to. There are just reports that they were in talks. Apparently making that distinction has caused issues for folks. Carry on.
