Rondo has no outside shot. Teams would be collapsing on dmc all day.

Kings need someone with a consistent shot at point guard and shooting guard.

DC is okay, but Ben or nik needs to step up or Kings will need to upgrade shooting guard this summer
Exactly
And even if he gets to the paint he dishes it out ho are the shooters he's passing to? How is Gay gonna score when rondos man is 2ft from him? How fast will this blow up when Karl benches him for Collison cause he can't space the floor or play defense?

Aminu/Matthews/L.Will/Afflalo are guys we should be looking at.

Even if you move aside his inability to shoot, Rondo has been flat-out bad on both sides on the floor.
His once great defense turned into nothing and he losts a few steps on almost every aspect on offense, Dallas Changed from Jameer Nelson (!) to him and dropped drastically:

the lineup of: Nelson-Ellis-Parsons-Dirk-Chandler outscored their opponents by 10.7 points per 100 poss.
the lineup of: Rondo-Ellis-Parsons-Dirk-Chandler was outscored by their opponents and recorded (-5.4) per 100 poss.

That's how bad he have been lately, you take out a post-his-prime Jameer Nelson leave the other 4 players and plug in Rondo and your point differential goes from GSW to Orlando Magic, not to mention the Celtics have done better without him...

Afflalo is living on his past resume as a defender- he is not near the defender he used to be, he suffered from injuries and he is over-all a widely over-rated player in my mind.

I would really like to go after Tyson Chandler. For WCS, there is no better example to learn from, as he compares favorably to Chandler with a similar skill set. I don't know if it is plausible financially (depends on what Chandler is seeking) nor do I know if he would even be interested. However, I feel confident that Divac could at least get his attention, offer a 1 year deal to entice him for next year when the cap rises and let the Sacramento magic win him over during the season. We could then focus on trading all of our loose parts (JT, Landry, Ben, Nik, whoever else not named Cuz, Rudy, or Collison). We would then have Cuz, Chandler, WCS, and Moreland, which is a great rotation and much better than last years, even if it is younger. We would have a in-prime Cousins, an aging but still effective Chandler, a rookie in the same mold as Chandler that is eager to learn and definitely would learn quickly, and a shot blocker in Moreland, with Reggie mixed in if we keep him. We would be set at SF with Rudy and Casspi (hopefully) and at PG (though we do need a backup). The only weakness is SG, and that would have to be shored up through trades. I just don't believe in Ben (poor IQ) and Nik isn't ready for a prime-time role.

I think you have to keep Ben on, you've invested 2 full seasons, seen some improvement and usually year 3 is when you see that clear jump from kid to pro. Unless theres a clear upgrade you cant pass up, his potential as a 3 and d athletic SG should be given a bit more time.
Agreed but if Matthews would sign with us 11mill or sign and trade with Nik id do it. Ben could still play 30mpg coming off the bench I'm expecting a jump from him this year.

I understand your feelings, but I am getting real tired of that word "potential." At some point in time, we are supposed to see the potential form into skills, with on the court benefits. The truth of the matter is we got lit up by opposing SGs night in and night out. Ben was busy bricking 75% of his kickouts from Cousins, and was overall a net negative. If you want to keep him then fine, but stick him on the bench. We can't afford to be at such a disadvantage from 1 position. I am also worried about what is between the ears as well in regards to Ben, I feel as if his basketball IQ is very low. Reminds me of Tyreke, just obviously to a lesser extent as he is not as skilled. Tons of "potential," but not enough effort/IQ to put it all together. No wonder we heard about us going after Rodney Stuckey. Divac doesn't have faith in our SGs.

The more I keep on watching Aminu, the more I hope we make him one of our top priorities. His play is not only what keeps his team in the game, but also wins those gritty close games. And of course...defense.

He'd play big minuets too with Gay getting minuets at PF. Also Aminu size allows him and Gay to be interchangeable at SF/PF when playing together.

I'm trying to figure out why the Suns would keep Knight over Bledsoe....plus it has been reported Brandon Knight will get the same offer Bledsoe received last summer. 5 year deal worth $70 million. Ouch.

I would not mind Aminu one bit I loved watching him hustle hard in Dallas (was not a fan of his in NO) plus I'm sure Karl would love him as well he's sort of like a hybrid of Chandler (has his length) and Brewer although he does not shoot as well as either I don't think. I'd be all for bring Aminu in.
