Karl is a 64 year old man and still to this day is stubborn and has the ego of a teenager....if he hasn't changed up to this point, he won't at all. That's a lost cause IMO.

OK so what if the Laker deal can somehow pull in Minnesota - parlay the Kings haul into: Towns, Randle, rest of the reported kitchen sink from Lakers, keep #6, and lose Landry? Anybody cool with that? Minny drops to #2 and gets some bit of sugar from Lakers or Kings (that 2021 pick or something). Minny probably more comfortable with Okafor anyway.

LAL can afford to give up everything in the Cousins deal - they can sign Aldrich or whoever else their heart desires - they don't need assets to lure FAs.
