You know what? I'm done with this. The same thing happened with the Malone firing, George Karl hire, Vlade supposedly stealing power in the Kings front office. Somebody writes a hilariously loaded "news" article about it and in comes the firestorm. Vivek needs to go, Karl needs to go, PDA needs to go. It's comical really. I don't know any of you personally so take this for what it's worth, but based on the comments I read from Kings fans I can't help feeling like this is the most manic depressive fanbase on Earth. If you really want to get yourselves worked up into a fervor over uncorroborated hearsay, be my guest. I've had enough. Come back to me when there's actually news.

Wasn't Woj the one who broke the news that the kings to Seattle was a done deal?

The "done deal" portion was accurate (From Diana Faulk's tweet not Woj) insofar as it was 99% done (First and Goal at the 1 if you will - Woj's actual comment)...which is why our monumental "save" of the team was so noteworthy and generated 2 documentaries. The Woj Bomb is still the most respected and accurate rumor source in sports.

While I acknowledge he's been in a CF of a situation there has to be some blame placed on him. Look at JT's tweet. He basically said that there is more to a player than just his stats. They didn't go to him when they hired Karl. Why would they go to him now? It's a lost cause.

There also is a rumor out that Karl has rallied the anti-Cousins players to pressure management into the trade...so we might want to take JT's comment with a grain of salt.

You do realize that after the Malone and Karl hiring sagas, much of the local media pretty much copped to the fact that they had pretty good information that the situation was much worse and screwed up than what the local media was reporting at the time? They just sat on their hands and later said, "Yeah that was pretty messed up for a while but I think it's all better now after it was over."

Your are right. The same thing happened before. Grant and Aileen aren't going to talk about this until it's over. Then they will spin what's left of the fan base back to the ticket office.

What official word. The Kings have incentive to be dishonest in this situation for a number of reasons. Last summer Flip sat with a straight face and said Love should be prepared to start the year with the Wolves. And he wasn't wrong in doing so, but it didn't change reality. If Cousins wants out, and indications are that he does, history says how this goes.

I don't want Cuz to get traded, it would suck. But it's not like we are a 50 win team. If Cuz gets traded, I'm still a Kings fan. I'm still a Kings fan after the firing of Malone and that just pissed me off to no end....so Ill survive this. All I want is the team to win.....become good again.

This is why you don't give into the fan pressure and hire a grumpy old man who is out of touch with todays player. Karl's ego is way to big for him to want make the effort to reach out to Cousins the way Malone did (see all of the "we got our HOF" coach propaganda shortly after the hire). I was never excited about the Karl hire, something about a "HOF" coach pretty much begging to get back in the league made me feel uneasy.

Did they forget to TELL Karl that Cousins is the franchise during the interview? or is Karl using his leverage as a power play to make this trade happen? either way Vivek made the same mistake again, coach before GM.

We are going to be a joke no matter what but I think we will be less of a joke if we side with the 24 year old superstar and fire Karl, as we should.

All this BS is being generated by other teams hoping they can pry Cousins loose, and maybe fed into by the Cousins camp trying to get Cousins to a more lucrative market. That was the foundation of any potential coaching hire here, that was and is the draw, the top center in the game.

Say what you want about Karl, about Cuz and his camp, about PDA, about Vlade, it all boils down to Vivek once again. This is one of the biggest mistakes in NBA history, to have such an asset like Cuz and to not only fire the coach he loves, but to then follow it up but hiring a coach who has no interest in keeping him here and has been working behind the scenes to push him out only a few months after signing on here. Think Gentry signed on with NO with the intent of moving Anthony Davis? Did Kerr sign on with GS with the intent of moving Steph Curry? Donovan sign on with OKC with the intent of moving Durant? The entire basis of signing on with teams like that is to coach a top player, not ****ing push him out only months later. While we're going through this, Gentry is telling everyone how Davis is the 2nd best player in the world. See the difference, Vivek!

BTW, anyone think Vivek sitting courtside at GS games looks better now, while all this was going on up here? Our weasel coach has been attempting to gut this franchise from the inside out while Vivek has been schmoozing with his GS comrades and basking in their glory? This is why you need an owner committed to your team and not wasting time rooting for others. Hey Vivek, you do any less than fire Karl's ass and guess what, I'll follow your lead and go find another team to root for and you're never going to see another penny from me again as do anything but fire Karl's ass and Cuz is gone, you're just delaying the inevitable. This happens, my only reason to ever step foot in Sac again is as a pit stop on my way to Tahoe or to visit my sister. That's it.

I will agree that the more this dumpster fire burns, it gets harder to see other teams ponying-up enough talent for Vlade to consider a trade when they know DMC (or at least his agent) wants out and might go for a bargain at the trade deadline. But there's an awful lot of smoke.

Ricky Berry, Bobby Hurley, Billy Owens x 2. We were also skeptical of the Mitch Richmond trade for the "malcontent" Webber. I've survived and will continue to survive a Kings fan forever.

You're taking all these bloggers at their word without any real proof from the horses (Cousins and Karl's) mouth. Who said Cousins wanted out too? When has he ever said he wanted out of Sac? Where are you getting your information?

My money is still that Vlade gets Cousins to buy into at least one more year and if things don't improve he will trade him. Winning (or at least improving) cures all. Let the salivating fans of other teams and media have their little fit this week. They'll be back to talking about the draft by tomorrow. It's still not time to panic and the Kings still have a ton of leverage with 3 years left on his deal. Also, the idea that people can't work together when there is tension is absurd.
