Practically, blowout games like these are stat-padding opportunities. I don't like it, but I can't blame him.
Sorry, but I not only like it, I love it. Our Kings desperately have needed a game like this. Think for a moment what it would have been like if the game had been played on Jan. 26. You think we would have seen what we're seeing right now?

I'm loving every single moment and, like some others, I want to see us win by as many as possible. And if some stats get padded, so be it.

Garbage time quarter coming up....

I really wish we had some raw young big man prospects to give time too..... I just cant get excited about Nik getting extended PT. I want to, but I cant.

For clarity: I do not like it when players attempt to stat-pad. They should be there to win, build team chemistry, and play for the future for hopefully a championship. Hopefully they are doing that right now. If stat-padding is a side-effect of these, that's fine. It's good that Nik is getting playing time in this blowout.

It could be argued that stat-padding might be part of what brings Kings together, but that depends on the individual players on the team.

We have; but he's injured.
Yeah, I remember Moreland! As someone who has been super hyped on every shot blocking prospect we have had here (from Justin Williams who fizzled out, to Whiteside, who fizzled out, then came back on another team as the second coming of Bill Russel) I'm hoping he'll crack the rotation next season. Karl obviously has no use for Landry, so thats one less body in front of him on the depth chart.

Again, I know its the Knicks, but I like how Nik is playing out there. Under control, showing more agression in looking for his shot and moving without the ball really well. Looks like taking a break from the game for a couple weeks and just working on his game is paying off.

Would like to see him get back-up SG minutes

To be fair, there was a whole lot of fizzling out involved with Hassan Whiteside. It's not like we got rid of him, and then he immediately resurfaced in Miami like he was Prime!Mourning.

Yeah, I think he was cut by the Lebanese Basketball League (dont quote me on that) before getting a last chance 10 day contract with the Heat.

I know he trashed Moreland in a D-league game just before he got called up. Now he's destroying everyone (But Cousins, obv)....

Cutting Whiteside was the right move at the time. But that doesnt make it any less irksome that he decides to figure it all out and get his **** together on another team.

Whiteside/Cousins could have been quite the tandem.

Whiteside was looking closer to Eddy Curry than 'Zo at the start of D-League season. Wonder, how he will play in 16/17 season, after a big payday.

Aldrich would be great as 5th big, if he signs for a minimum. Much better than Hollins, for sure.
I'll take Hollins' vet presence at the 5th big spot any day.

Your 5th big doesn't help you win or lose games. His presence in the locker room though, can be a huge plus. Hollins is exactly the guy we need in that role.

The West will be the same ultra-competitive doghouse next year, so every edge counts. For 10 games, Cousins usually misses, it will be your 4th big. Moreland will be enough for cheerleading.
