I'm actually too. George Karl is a good coach, but a lot of coaches have been hired and he's not got the call. So let's not make him bigger than he really is. Cuz, however, would be really difficult to replace. I think the present roster is very promising. Some adjustments here and there, but this is a good defensive team with a lot of potential. If the FO want's an offense first team, the roster needs to be changed. It's not a coaching issue.

Why? Karl has not had a losing season in over 2 decades. In an either/or situation, it's an argument that isn't totally ridiculous. If you want him to stop, tell him why.

I don't think it will ever become an either/or situation. That's the MAJOR problem with the scenario postulated. It's a scenario that won't happen and therefore is just aggravating.

Not really. Cousins has never gotten a coach fired. Not Westphal, Not Smart. Not Malone.

This may be hard to accept, but the FO is incompetent. When your owner and GM fire a coach who had the team playing above expectations with rumors that Mullin is a serious candidate, you can't give them the benefit of the doubt.

For anyone thinking Cuz's ego is a problem or the problem, as if most of the top players across sports don't have significant egos of their own(it's required in life to rise to the absolute top of your profession), there's 29 other teams who'll gladly take Cuz off our hands and a number of them have better FOs with proven track records who'd quickly turn him into the foundation of a playoff team.

Cuz ain't the problem. The problem is the idiocy running rampant through our FO and ownership who now has us debating Cuz's ego based off loose speculation from a Sac Bee columnist, when we should be talking about seriously competing for a playoff spot.

Did you even READ the article or are you just once again attempting to stir up poopoo? COUSINS never said he wouldn't play for George Karl. The rumor - not substantiated in any way, shape or form, BTW - is that Dan Fegan (Cousins' agent) voiced HIS concerns and said they shouldn't hire Karl because there might be a conflict because of Karl's style of coaching.

Straw man, Capt. It's not about why Westphal got fired. And, even if it were, it was management's decision to fire Westphal. I don't think Cousins made an ultimatum as much as they realized that the future of the franchise was more important than a mediocre coach.

George Karl never got over the hump, and he's old and within a few years of retirement, if not actual death.

No George Karl is not remotely worth DeMarcus Cousins.

Ok let me get this straight: AV drops a line in her column claiming that Dan Fegan (DMC's Agent) has been trying to block Karl. DMC say's he never met Karl, and now 3 pages later the logic corkscrews this into some folks taking shots at DMC as a coach killer? WTF?

Slow down kids and try not not to get ahead of yourselves on this nothing burger of a story... SMH.

He is quite a bit younger than I am. Your note just gave me a shiver. Some of us have an urgent need for a winning season. I am about a decade older than Karl so I really don't care how old he is.

I have not heard any other name come from this team as to a possible coach so it's a difficult subject to discuss. As far as I know Mullin is already penciled in. Speculative discussions like this are usually the kind I avoid. They end up going nowhere,
