can't believe they decided to come out and play Malone style defense in this one...maybe they were sick of getting whooped night in and night out and from the get go you can tell they were being very aggressive. If there is one consistent thing they can do for the remainder of the season, that would be to play physical and team defense...Cousins was all over the place and I like Darren being more aggressive on offense, he isn't a passing PG, he is a scoring one so it's good to see him being used as such. Nik can't shoot it into the ocean, but...like Ben I think it's more jitters and rushing the shot than anything else. Westbrick was epic tonight, he played for the Purple & white tonight!

Side note: My disdain for Leslie Moore is exceeded only by ... ... ... well, not much. Looks like Brickie has taken up the cause on Twitter with her. I had to unfollow her again because her Bay Area smug attitude makes me want to hurl. And I enjoyed tonight too much to have it ruined by someone who was strangely silent until now.

And "he who shall not be named"? Who over the age of 12 would use that to refer to someone her boss fired?

This is why I get pissed off coming on here and seeing people make excuses for this team, all they had to do was get all 8 rotation guys to play hard and get Cousins to finally actually play defense (which was stellar 2night). Let Darren Collison run the team instead of just posting Gay/Cousins and get everyone else to play some form of defense and we can beat anyone. We need to play like this against teams on our level rather than better teams only.

Collison is a beast we need to stop under using him.

Defense is AMAZING. Am I the only one who loves it more than offense? Good defense leads to easy baskets and easy points on offense.

The Kings set a great early defensive tone. JT was playing great D, followed by Ben on Westbrook, Cuz being dominant on D, Gay bothering KD, and Collison.

1st quarter's defense set the tone for the rest of the game. 75% of defense is effort and desire. Beautiful defensive communication between the entire team tonight.

Best defensive game by the Kings this season.

I think we were on the same page. It was the same roster with essentially the same coaching staff. So the basic principles shouldn't have changed, especially on defense. Players had to want it.

If we play this type of defense every night, pushing the ball is not an issue. The problem is when we play terrible defense and still try to run up and down. Good defense should lead to easy transition buckets. Funny we blow out the Thunder on the day we harken back to the Malone Kings. Was PDA in attendance? Damn Weasel.

It feels good to win in a good way. While I would take a 116-115 win, I would feel dirty about it.

No worries today, though. They brought it on D, actually walked the ball up from time to time, leaked out when appropriate, and won in a laugher.

Hopefully the FO got the message.
