[Game] Game 35: Sacramento Kings vs. OKC Thunder, 1/7/14 7PM PST, 10PM EST

One thing that pisses me off about the whole firing Malone fiasco, is we very well could have been building towards a rivalry with OKC. We match up well with them. Both teams hate each other. Could have been two teams heading towards the playoffs.

Hopefully it happens over the next couple years. Cuz vs Durant and co.
Since the Malone fiasco, I've been quietly expecting a John Wall, Durant, and Boogie trio in washington. Hopefully we can get some momentum back here to avoid that kind of mess

I give credit to Corbin for the play. And of course the players. Maybe after PDA got a huge amount of criticism he decided not to micro-manage Corbin and let him coach the way he sees fit

And seriously, if Boogie doesn't get to the All Star game and/or doesn't get any MVP votes, I might lose it. Does any time rely on more player than we do Boogie?!

I never said that. Just pointing out that PDA never said "don't play defense" - in fact he said the opposite, despite what many seem to think.
Actions speak louder than words and the actions since Malone's firing resulted in us giving up 111+ PPG and going small, with JT dropped from the starting 5, even getting his first DNP of the year. Ben has also seen his mins cut while developing Nik takes more of a priority, a worse defensive player.

Then we get into style of play, increased tempo which by nature is anti-defense, on top of players publicly saying we have to get back to playing defense, and plenty points to PDA and our FO not valuing that end.

It's also likely PDA realizes he ****ed up and yes indeed, the team needs to do better than give up 111 per game, as that's on pace for worst in the league. Probably not the "pace" he's looking for, lol.

Corbin wasn't that bad of a coach in Utah. Most ppl just see his record there and assume he is bad, but his roster was even worse than what he had working with now

Seems like the pace of this game is down.

It seems like they've gone back to exactly what worked earlier in the season.

Imagine that.

Derrick Williams has taken zero shots.
Oh crap pace is down?....PDA will coming charging to the bench in a moment

OKC is definitely helping us out tonight. Where teams usually jump on us during our lapses, OKC seems to make a mistake right after we do. I'll take it.
