First, DMC spent a lot of time around children recently. Children carry viruses. It's certainly possible he could have picked up a touch of the flu...

Second, I don't want to derail the game thread but I just posted some stuff (in the NBA forum Isaiah Thomas watch thread) that James Ham tweeted out a while ago about Isaiah Thomas and how he really wasn't a bad guy, getting rid of him was purely a basketball decision, etc. The wording AND timing of this stuff struck me as very weird. I cannot believe how paranoid and conspiratorial my mind has gotten lately over all things Kings...

Hopefully this means playing time for my boy Eric Moreland. But most likely it will mean midget ball with gay playing at power forward. Yay for NBA 3.0 !

No need to be paranoid, the reason he tweeted that stuff is because of these tweets from earlier today:

John Dickinson @JDJohnDickinson · 2h
Isaiah Thomas' SAC return tonight: Sources w/in Kings organization tell me IT was "as bad a teammate as as anyone" Sac has seen in past 6 yr

John Dickinson @JDJohnDickinson · 2h
One source added on Isaiah Thomas that he was "a complete fraud" who "knew when cameras were on & how to fake being a good/guy teammate."

I'm not a conspiracy guy, but I'm starting to smell a rat. Wondering if maybe there's a little rebellion going on, and their trying to keep a lid on it. Or, and I hate to even mention it, there's a trade in the works. Naw, they're not that stupid. Bottom line is, I agree with you. What's the likelyhood of getting back to back viral infections? Hopefully we see him on the court tonight.
It does sound suspicious. I'm looking for the black helicopters now...

DeMarcus Cousins hit the genetic lottery in terms of physical stature and athletic ability but damn his immune system sucks. Somebody get the man some Echinacea and Vitamin C supplements after this.

He'd destroy me in just about every athletic endeavor known to man.......but at least I know my white blood cells could outplay his in a game of full court.

Should be much more faster and exciting without Cousins on the floor. I get bored with him on the floor. It seems like it takes at least 20 seconds to score a basket. Without Cousins it's much more exciting because we get to shoot and miss within 10 seconds and then watch the other team run down the court and score in 3 seconds! I'd rather watch us shoot quickly and lose than shoot not as quickly and win. Plus without him on the court, our defense isn't as good. Which means the other team will score more points. And more points = excitement for me. I don't care who scores em! I love points!!!

Being around kids might be why Cuz is getting sick. Or it could be eating out too much.

Hire a chef. Control what you can control. I don't know if this is an issue with Cuz but I do know too many athletes eat like crap and eat out far too often. During flu season that carries a real risk. A stomach flu usually means you were eating something you shouldn't have been eating.

Whatever it is, he's doing something which is making him more susceptible to getting sick on his own time. His teammates aren't getting sick.

hmm you make a good point. Maybe our Front Office is getting him sick so he isn't out there slowing down our NBA 3.0 awesomeness. DeMarcus Cousins is NBA 1.5 at best

See? See? And people thought I was kidding when I suggested we turn Boogie into a bubble baby.

So which would we rather have now:

Go smallball and win, thus confirming our idiots in their arrogance and establishing for them that maybe idiot ball works better without one of those big sweaty lugs in the middle clogging things up?

Go smallball and lose, dropping us to 12-17, only a few games ahead of the Lakers and capping perhaps the most disappointing homestand in the 30 years of the franchise?

i hope we lose by 150 points tonight, they score 120 points in the paint, and they outrebound us by 70

Hollins and Sessions also out.

I'm excited to see a potential Collison, Stauskas, McBen, Rudy, D-Will lineup! NBA3.0 at its finest.

Maybe Moreland will play a non-garbagetime minute.

That's what I keep saying. Little kids are nothing but walking bags of germs.

  1. They're going to try to play small ball "run run run" basketball like they did with the Warriors. This time cause they have less of a choice.

Let's hope the result is not the same.

Do people miss losing close games with Malone yet?

Just when a game comes up that could be interesting, something happens to short circuit it. This is very bizarre. I am not a conspiracy theorist but I think I could be converted. Probably won't watch this game if we are also missing Hollins and whoever else it is. At least we will run off a whole bunch of loses but I'm not sure what that achieves.

This is aggravating. Why not a flu shot?
