Jerry forgot to turn off his mic. What's he talking about? "Something about it's his last year so he'll play his game blah blah blah".. Now Grant mentioning Outlaw and something backcourt combo.

You have to at least come somewhat close matching outgoing and incoming salaries. Rudy is on near 18M right now, over 19M if he opts in this summer. The value of a lottery pick isn't near that. There's a huge gap in value which would need to be made up, at least 11-12M, probably more since we don't yet know the monetary value of an unspecified lottery pick, which could be 5M or 2M.

We'd be taking a lot of salary in return from guys who at this point you haven't named.

I'm not concerned with how Rudy looks without Boogie. I'm far more concerned with how he looks with Boogie and thus far it's been positive.

I'm starting to think Gay might not be the best thing for the kings.. trade him for a lottery pick and draft McDermott? At least McDermott can play off the ball and doesn't always demand it.
You think a senior from a mid-major conference is going in the lottery?

You're ready to give up the elite talent at the 3, based on this game or a couple games? What about the good things he's done, like the game tieing shot over the top in the last game? The shot that nobody else has made for us in years.

Come on now. He won't be the most efficient player in the NBA every single game. Nobody is or ever has

Gay for who? Gay is a star and I don't even know who McDermott is. Maybe he has moved up and I missed it.

Can we trade IT for McDermott?
NCAA's leading scorer. 6'8 225lbs. He's averaging 25.9pts 7rebs. He's shooting 0.546% 2pt and 0.444% 3pt. Overall fg% 0.513 this season which is his lowest in his 4 year college career..

We are on our way to a 100 pt game and the announcers are worried about where we are going to find offense. That's not the problem, guys. One or both need to be put out to pasture. GW scored 59 with a few starters missing.

So, I can listen to Grant and Jerry talk about the Warriors ... or I can go over to CSNBA and listen to their broadcast team talk about the Warriors. I love having choices.

Maybe continue this conversation in the trade thread. I still don't think this team is good enough to make the playoffs even with Boogie and Gay. It depends on the players we add, but the trade deadline hasn't been all that exciting.. Evans and Terry...

That's a perfect example of IT's terrible basketball IQ.

Ben nails a 3, next possession IT shows no willingness to run a play or look for him, instead is pounding the ball wondering if he should attack in an iso against Iggy, GS's best defender, then gives the ball to Rudy where he has to force a 1v1 jumper.

A flat out terrible offensive set and little understanding of a PG's duties.

Exactly. I saw Doug Mac play few games last year and one this season. Nothing has changed on D. Rather soft, slow lateral movement, can't defend quicker opponents, Rudy Gay coming out of college was better overall and way better at this point in prime of his NBA career.
Parker can't defend either.. slow lateral movement, can't defend quicker opponents.
