I have to give props to Big Baby, he actually disrupted Cuz a lot and denied him position down low, plus he is ultra quick for a man his size. Cuz was hitting his jumpers though, the scouting report would probably say you concede those shots to Cuz so Big Baby did about as good a job that he could of done and Cuz still came up with 24 and 14 with 6 assists. If Cousins could make that 17 ft jumper automatic he would truly be unguardable.
This Big Baby defended wll but when Cuz goes into Godsins mode you just got to take the ass whopping and hope it's not a one punch KO.

You don't play your starters down the stretch of a blowout: it's
  1. a dick move, and
  2. puts them at risk for a fluke injury in meaningless garbage time.
Gotta disagree in this case. Our guys needed that. This is the first blowout our new group of guys has had. You do not pull the starters early and risk a total collapse. You absolutely let them put the pedal down for the finish.

Oh by the way for kicks and giggles since the Rudy gay TS% debate. I have posted after each game. His TS% tonight was .68 Since the debate where some said it would go down. It has actually gone up quite a bit
Rudy is playing with supreme confidence right now.

Plus, you gotta let the deep end of the bench get in the game now and then

Didn't we win the first Houston game by fifteen? Since when does that not count as a blowout?

Different feel, IMHO. Rudy had only been here a week and there wasn't anything remotely resembling team chemistry. My choice of words may not have been the best, but I think you know what I was trying to say. ;)

I like how NBA TV said that they were going to talk about the Kings game after the commercial, and have since come back and gone back to commercial twice, without mentioning the game at all. In fact, they have re-run the same segment on the Timberwolves three times in that span.

And, by "like," I mean, what the mother****?

We are steadily being built like teams that succeed in the playoffs (outside of our defense so far). With DMC/Gay you have a post up player and an elite wingman you need those 2 things to be dominate in the playoffs. Also we are living in the paint and our half court offense is good, which are more playoff characteristics.

While Acy is not the offensive player Landry is his low contract and some ability on offence while being a better defender should mean we should trade Carl. Acy/Williams just make the Landry signing look way worse. Acy on his contract > Landry on his
I don't disagree, but, conceptually, I like having a Mini-Cousins to come in off the bench and offer a steady scoring presence down low while the big guy recharges to demolish opponents for another ten minute stretch.

At 6.5million a season and heading into his 30's but.....

6-8 record since acquiring Rudy! Not to mention Quincy and Aaron! Michael Malone is slowly starting to find his horses to carry him and figure out this "rubix cube" as he said, of a team that was handed to him. And props to coach for not giving up on D-Will and giving him the confidence to keep plugging away and become the player he wants him to be. This team is starting to turn into something special. I can see it. We aren't going to the post season this year, but soon we will be there. Boogie and Rudy are gonna dominate as a duo for years to come and I couldn't be happier that they are wearing Black & Purple. Get ready for a fun ride Kings fans. It's going to be awesome!!!

I think we have to give some credit to Jimmer, who is becoming a much better 2 than I ever would have expected.
As an admittedly unabashed Jimmer fan, I try very hard to not get too excited when he has a good game or good stretch of games. I'm encouraged that he is having more good plays/games than bad lately. I hope that he keeps getting the leeway the coach is currently giving him for the sake of the team. 1) IT needs between 12 and 16 minutes of breather a night, and 2) Jimmer and Williams are really the only scoring options on the bench and the bench needs to score to keep us in games because the team defense is unreliable.

All, we're now 5-5 in the last 10 with a chance to go 6-4 Sunday. It's a little early to talk about the brutal upcoming trip now, but I look forward to our win hopefully. We will need it for sure.

And, here we are, more than an hour later, and they've promoted highlights after the break, again. Maybe they'll come through this time, but I'm not holding my breath.

Normally I would agree, but (1)(as an earlier poster said) this team needs experience putting their boots on the throat of their opponent, (2) our starters need to experience how much better the last few minutes of a blowout game are, and (3) if someone does get hurt then we tank our way to a great draft pick!
