What's up with this Giannis mania? Went to a bucks forum and read some of them saying they wouldn't trade him except for lebron/Durant etc. Some were saying they would take oladipo AND Orlando's unprotected first this year. I haven't seen him and I dont see it in the stats.
he's just turned 19, has played organised for only four years, has an insane physical profile -hyperathletic and long SF that's still growing and slated to get to 7'- and can already do a lot of things pretty well. he's also a real feel good story and apparently a nice guy:

all that said, the hype surrounding him is probably mostly due to the Bucks not having all that much going for them, currently.

Greg oden hasn't taken the floor yet for the heat and there is no definitive date for him to. A lot were disappointed when we didn't have the chance to sign him

I'm not sure that statement is exactly true. If anything, I think a lot were relieved we didn't have to make the decision on whether or not to take a chance on him. I personally was pretty straight-forward as not thinking he was worth spending money on.

Lakers signing Kendall Marshall. I wonder why we didnt give him a shot. Averaging 19.7 pts and 9.6 assists per game in the d league. Would have been worth a 10 day contract assuming fo doesn't believe ray is ready

I just love how Pop gives the finger to the league front office. He just says, "**** all y'all: I'm going to rest my guys, and I don't give a **** how it affects your ratings. I'm not in this to get ratings."

I wonder if he'll put "DNP-Old" in the box score for Duncan again?

And love how despite all that they're up 1 at halftime :D

Also, I thought "every PG gets blown by in the NBA". Yet I somehow haven't seen Patty Mills get blown by Steph Curry the same way IT gets blown by every game.

I agree that line of defense is bizarre and makes me wonder how many games those people watch.

So the Spurs - without Duncan, Ginobli or Parker - beat the Warriors in Oracle. Gotta love the mind games Pop plays. You think the GSW won't remember this in the playoffs? ;)

And it's not just without Duncan, Ginobili or Parker. The rest of their guys other than Leonard and Diaw are all random 2nd rounders or very late 1sts. It's not like they have some proven 6th man type just sliding into the starting lineup or something.

Patty Mills/ Corey Joseph
Danny Green/ Marco Belinelli
Kawhi Leonard
Boris Diaw/ Jeff Ayres (formerly Jeff Pendergraph)/ Matt Bonner
Aron Baynes/ Tiago Splitter

I bet people who don't watch the Spurs wouldn't even know a third of those players even played in the league.

How convenient that all the guys playing today received matching pajamas with the right logos and such on them so they could look cool for the Christmas Day games.

Good grief.

:(

2-for-2 on blowouts by the road team, with a depleted lakers team hosting the Heat next. Good thing they couldn't make room for teams like Indiana or Portland. Hell, even Atlanta and Washington would have been an improvement.

though I'm a pacifist through and through that Bogut on Griffin violence was extremely enjoyable to me. that's two guys I would absolutely not miss seeing.
