I am alive. Haven't been able to really keep track of things as I've been really busy getting myself established halfway around the world (Note to anyone considering a move abroad: It's hard understanding elaborate paperwork and documents when you only have a kindergarten-level ability to read a language), plus I just set up the internet in my apartment tonight.
Moving on, I haven't watched a Kings game in two weeks nor have I been keeping up with news about the team (or any news in general). My John Salmons/Chuck Hayes feature isn't quite ready yet but I'll have it up sooner rather than later. It doesn't really matter because it's not like Pete and the front office crew are going to be able to move those two guys anyways. With us having made the early season trade for what is assuredly our starting small forward for the foreseeable future, this team is going to be interesting to watch, especially now that Greivis has two high-octane wings to pass the ball out to on the break.
Looking at the names out on the market, it's pretty clear that the Kings are going to have to take on money from bloated contracts, something that our team hasn't done since Nelson Mandela was elected president of South Africa and probably won't do until well after his death, which probably won't be for a long while.
Anyways, I need to wake up for work in a couple of hours so I'm just going to skip on to the predictions for now. Demarcus goes for 29 points, 17 boards, and 5 assists as he mauls the mighty Haywood-less frontline of the typically unspectacular Bobcats. Greivis finally gets his game going to the tune of 14 points and 12 dimes, B-Mac and D-Will the beneficiaries of his passes in transition. Kings win 98- 90 and the game ball goes to team captain Chuck Hayes for being a waste of space.
Go Kings!
