Rudy Gay to Sacramento!!!

Not a huge Gay fan, but it's talent. And since his deal expires at the same time as Thornton's, that works, too. Kings shouldn't be thinking free agency splash until 2015 anyway.

Best news I heard in a while.. we legitamately may be the most athletic team in the entire league...no more excuses for poor defense... goodbye hayes and ppat you're lack of rebounding and general lack of basketball ability will not be missed by me although I did like you as people!

I think Gay is overrated, but he's a talent upgrade, especially for this package. I'm not too worried about his contract, either, as his deal expires at the same time as Thornton's. Try him as a wingman with Cousins for a year and a half, and if it doesn't work, look for an impact free agent in 2015.

whoa. MASSIVE trade. i'm not exactly rudy gay's biggest fan, but PDA managed to unload a ton of spare parts for a player of value. that value has sunk considerably this season, which is why he was able to pull off the trade, so the question remains, what does rudy gay have left to give to an nba team? seems strange to me that d'allesandro, he of the analytics reputation, would trade for one of the least efficient wing players in the entire league. hm...

We just got better. Rudy Gay, despite the poor shooting, can do a lot. Ray McCallum gets to play....HELL YES. Also, Quincy Acy is a guy I kind of like....kind of a poor mans Reggie Evans, high energy, will do dirty work. If guys liked Aldrich, they will like Gray as a space eater backup in the short term.

Man....bless their hearts but I'm glad not to have to watch Hayes, Salmons and quite frankly PPat not quite performing to expectations.
