Whitey's off the air??

Not sure if this is the right place for this post but I think it pertains to the Kings...
I had today off ,but before I(gladly) hit the snooze and went back to sleep I heard Koz on the air on KHTK. I thought it must have just been because someone was sick or whatever, but some guy just called in(to Grants show) and said he would be passing around a petition in Arcos parking lot tonight to keep Whitey. Does anybody else know more about this? Is Whitey off the rise guys?
