*THIS IS NOT A REACTION THREAD TO A MOVE. THIS IS NOT A THREAD ABOUT WHETHER THE TEAM WILL MOVE OR NOT*

This topic is about where the fans want to see the team in the hypothetical circumstance of the team leaving, which is still in question. Again, this isn't a goodbye thread, this isn't about whether the team will move or not, this is purely a thread about where you, the fans, want the team to move if they do decide to relocate. This is just about the fans feelings on the different locations of a move, which is an entirely speculative event which has not been decided yet. There are existing threads on the Maloof's statement about exploring possibilities, and all this thread is doing is getting the fan's feelings on possible options.

*AGAIN, THIS ISN'T A REACTION TO MOVING THREAD*

It was hinted at last year about the Maloofs possibly moving to HP in San Jose, although there might be some territorial issue that would have to be resolved. Some thought St Louis, Kansas City, Seattle, or Anaheim are the most desired locations. However, as a Kings fan, what your reaction be? If the team moved, would you cut all ties and rather see them as far away as possible, or would you like the team to stay closer and remain a supporting fan of the franchise? Does that depend on name changes, location, etc? Where, out of the most likely locations, would you want to see the team move?

For me, I would like them to move to HP. There are plenty of fans in the bay area and central cali to support another team in that area. Plus, they already have the established fanbases in norcal, and they get the advantages of one of the largest cities and a far better business situation. So, it's the best of both worlds.

Moving down south would require competing for what is a Lakers-filled area. There is certainly the possibility of garnering fans and business, but would it work if the franchise doesn't become a winner soon?

St Louis and Kansas City, I think, would embrace a NBA franchise with fan support, similarly to how the Thunder have been embraced after their move. Whether they can turn the team into a winner before the honeymoon period ends is another question, but I don't know if I would remain a fan from such a relocation.

The logical answer is San Jose because it's closest and CSN would still carry all the games. But my emotional reaction is that I'd honesty rather see them contracted than move to any city, including San Jose. The idea of suffering through the rebuild years only to have to see Reke/DMC and The Kings become a good team in another city rather than Sacramento, where the should be, disgusts me.
