I don't see any posts on why Bogdan and Shump are out. We are missing Bagley no doubt. Last night with the backups in, a win looked almost impossible. We went from 7th spot to the cellar quick. I hope we don't lose more games. This season has been fun to watch. Up to now anyway.

Shump is off because of wear and tear.

Skal, Ben, Kosta, & Williams are playing because of the above, but also because they're trade fodder. Dial back a few years and it was entirely within the realm of possiblity to have Ben, Skal, and Kosta in our starting line up. Scary.

BTW, Troy Williams hustles, but he's a damn dumb player. His BBIQ is near where Ben's is.

This I agree with you. Williams is all energy and no measurable IQ. For a while he looked good compared to Justin. But now he seems like a liability. Probably why he was released from his last team.

Yep it's unfortunate because he's a nice kid (I think that's part of the problem) but it's just never going to happen for him. He's fast, athletic, and his a nice looking shot but none of that matters when the mind doesn't match the skills. When your basketball IQ is as low as Ben's is you just don't make that kind of leap in improvement.

I just got around to checking the box score. I'm looking at it and I'm thinking "Hmm, looks like the starters played pretty well. How did we lose so badly?"

And then I scrolled down and saw our abhorrent bench. We need Bogdan and Bagley back badly. Without them our bench is a G-League team.

Agreed. That's the problem with a guy like Williams and why he was in the G_League to begin with. In small doses of sporadic play you see the hustle/energy and it looks great.......in small doses. However when he starts to get consistent playing time, all of the mistakes he makes really start to add up.

Offensively Williams takes some terrible shots out of the flow of the offense that are just momentum killers. He'll miss wide open shots badly when the Kings are in the midst of a run. He's also not very good on the fastbreak which is surprising for a hustle guy. Not a good passer and just not a guy that plays within the framework of an offense.

Losing 25% of your 12 man line up or more accurately 42% of your top 7 rotation players will hurt any team.

Shump got hurt when he slipped on the floor after a steal and fell awkwardly.The floor had a wet spot.

I agree about the PG spot as long as Bogdan is there to spot Fox, without the two its going to be a long season.
I started off the year believing in our big's but more of late have lost confidence in everyone outside of Bagley. Some good games here and there but the consistency factor?? Not trying to be a downer.
Small Forward, nothing new there, that's been an obvious concern all season.
