What a difference a year makes

I went to the Nuggets vs. Kings game last night; it was the first game I had been to this season. (Just so you know, I have tried to make at least one Kings game each year since '85). And something had changed.

-The place was not packed, but was well over half full (last few seasons, not so much)
-the fans were really into the game (again, not so much in the past few seasons)
-the ownership was there and visible
-the Kings had a chance to win the game (not just catch a team sleeping)
-the fans were so pumped up a spontaneous wave broke out!
-at halftime, I needed a soda because my voice was gone from yelling
- there was no horrible feeling of "this is the last season in Sacramento" hanging out... which, in retrospect, has been a major downer.

It's like I woke up from a bad dream... but that old feeling was back! It's back! The Kings are back! The real Kings experience is back! I felt like it was 1999 again. Thank you Kings fans! Thank you to the new ownership group! Thank you Kings players! GO KINGS!

I hope everyone who posts here gets the chance to attend at least one game at Sleep Train Arena this year. Until you do, you cannot truly appreciate everything that's been done so far. New vendors, CLEAN restrooms, no broken chairs, etc. - It's all just a small part of what having an owner who isn't broke can bring.

It was probably two or three years since I went to a game in Sac. The last one was depressing despite the seeming optimism around the team at the time. It was definitely night and day.
