Chris Paul was seriously interested in Spurs, source says, but chance to play off ball & share PG duties w/James Harden was more attractive.

Seems like they're willing to make a go of it.

I suppose playing with a friend is more valuable to Chris than increasing his chances of winning a championship.

Me neither. I've never been a fan of Harden and the Rockets. BUT .. he just had his best season of his career and the Rockets rebounded from a subpar season the year before. It seemed like they just needed to add some defense and key role players. But now they've added another ball handler, who, even if he plays off the ball, if a smallish guard. And while CP3 is a smart player that can read defenses and come up with some steals, he's not a strong individual defender. The Rockets got weaker defensively.

As for the Clippers, I think they may have actually got better. They improved defensively, added depth and still have a capable PG that can set up Blake (if he stays) and Jordan.
