I did one of these a few months ago and I think its time we see if anything has changed. Im not going to post all the stats but dont only base it on their stats. Base it on how they influence the team, motivation, leadership and of course how their team does without them.

There may be more candidates that these such as Ray Allen, or the men up in Washington but these seem to be the most talked about RECENTLY.

aww i just noticed poor Darko on the list
I only thought of him because ESPN was laughing at the fact that he had a career high 7 points tonight in his second season and that he was drafted inbetween James and Melo and before Wade.

i wonder what would of happened if they got Melo OR Wade as a draft pick instead of Darko. That would be one heck of a team!!

i don't think KG is having a MVP caliber year by any stretch of the imagination...and im not just saying that cuz of Wolves record...IMO he hasn't had his normal KG type year...sad really

HAHAH DARKO!!!!!!! they were talking and said this season darko has as many total points as lebron averages in a game! LOL, that has to be the biggest bust in NBA history. i remember in a interview b4 he got drafted the reporter asked him who he wanted to play for and he said the sacramento kings.

Seriously, I had to go with Nash. He is the stereotypical MVP, at least for the Suns. Without him, the team sets in the West...rapidly and with little fanfare.

really?

if so its nice to know that players actually look at our team as a team that they would want to play for...even before they get drafted...well even if it is just Darko

i really though a lot of those guys on that list are having MVP caliber years...but IMO Steve Nash will end up just running away with it...i don't think its gonna even close...if it weren't for Steve Nash this MVP race would be in a an almost dead heat

if Nash doesn't get the MVP award....its a shame

I still think Lebron, If he can up his assits and rebounds to over 7.5 - 8.0 each and get 25ppg average for the season he will get it, as long as his team wins when he plays and loses when he doesnt.

yah, he wanted to play for us because we had the european GOD Vlade Divac. he said some stuff about he looks up to Divac and wants to play with him. etc etc.

SACKINGS24, can you please explain to me why Darko is a bust?
try to understand that he is coached by larry brown...who obviously doesnt like to play rookies, and o yeah detroid already has rasheed wallace, ben wallace, mcdyess and all 3 of these guys need playing time every game.
If Darko was drafted by a bad team last year, trust me he would be averaging at least 15ppg or so. The guy needs playing time and experience which he obviously isnt getting in Detroid, and plus the kid is only 19 years old.

The kid is no way a bust, just not needed, therefore his game is lacking.

i say shaq... eventhough i hate his guts... if the heat end up with the 2nd best record in the league.... he will get the credit.... unless the suns win every game from here on out its going to shaq or lebron.... well maybr not lebron.... but shaq is up there. i voted for iverson though... if the sixers win the atlantic.... go ai....

i voted for duncan. i think the spurs are going to have the best record in the west at the end of the year, and it will be in large part becuase of him.
