No, your right i get that, im not sayin its a good thing at all, i just cant feel sorry for him, it is what it is, and yea maybe this well keep others quiet that may have done the same things as him, but at the same time maybe it will shy some refs from ever going down that same road.

Sigh. This is just patently ridiculous BTW. Over the top, silly, ridiculous. Yes, the National Basketball Association is in fact the world's richest, most prominent, undetected multi-billion dollar organized crime ring. And Stern is its Godfather. And all of this has been proven by...its referees sometimes making bad calls. :rolleyes:

Yeah … anything involving big money…. There will be people in it to manipulate and cheat. I mean if rigging of games didn’t happen, I don’t think Tim Donaghy would just go make up an entire book about it.

He knows that he is hated already and he knows the NBA is probably gunning for him. I don’t think he is going to make up completely baseless things to get himself into even more trouble.

People can say Tim Donaghy is a liar and a cheat etc etc. But isn’t that Brian McNamee guy the same thing? Most people believe McNamee over the 7 time Cy Young winner.

As long as what Donaghy says makes sense, people will believe and the NBA will be toasted. Stern saw what happen with MLB & steroids.

Yes it does sound crazy in this modern civilized world. But in this corrupted society involving so much $$$, nothing should surprise us.
 
when someone gets sentenced to prison, they dont get sentenced to 5 years of rapings and beatings.

To say he got what is coming to him is ridiculous. The man made mistakes, mistakes many people would have made had they been in his situation. I know people that have been busted for embezzling money from an employer. It was wrong, but the person was still a decent person... just a person who got caught up in something and made the wrong choices. But when you pay for those choices by going to prison, you should not get the crap beat out of you and have to endure getting raped by someone bigger and stronger.

Thats why i would never survive in prison. Id kill someone and get killed at the same time.

Or make damn sure I found myself in solitary just so i could survive.
