Thoughts on Pre-Season vs Washington

Didn't get a chance to hear the game but saw a partial box score this morning on NBA TV and courtesy of someone linking me to it, I have taken a look at the full box. Ms scored 82 pts with a large chunk of their opening day starters back here in Sac or overseas....

Thanks for the link to the box score MBF! I thought our mostly rookie team (9 players went to Tampa, 5 were rookies) did well. I did get a chance to listen to the game, and they really seemed to push the ball on both ends of the floor. In the final two minutes of the regulation game, and the OT period, they fell a part a bit. I'm going to err on the positive side, and say I think it may have been tired legs, well actually tired everything. Flying to Tampa is not via a direct flight, and it was a longgggg two days.

They had several opportunities in the final seconds of the 4th QTR to secure the win, but had too many turnovers, and missed free throws. Still, they played way better than I would expect such a young group of players to do, having only been together a short period of time. Everyone seems to be picking up both the offense and the defense Jenny Bou plans on using this year.

Our combined numbers in the post are impressive, I think. If I am Whiz, I am keeping all three. Is this possible? Is there roster room to do this? I would love to have Bekka only play the 4 this season.

Aqua Franklin should be a keeper--aggressive, leader when she's on the court, good defender, and excellent ball-handling skills. Aren't these most of the things on our "wish list" on a previous thread?
