The NBA's Most Valuable Player has become something of an event in recent years, most notably because of the emotional speeches given by Derrick Rose in 2011 and Kevin Durant in 2014 (the latter was powerful enough to lead to a Lifetime movie that premiered last weekend). It's a time for the league's great superstars to thank those who allow them to succeed and reflect on what they have accomplished. [ Follow Dunks Don't Lie on Tumblr: The best slams from all of basketball] By past standards, Stephen Curry's Tuesday press conference to celebrate his back-to-back (and first-ever unanimous) MVP was somewhat staid. He dutifully thanked various Warriors figures, including his coaches and teammates, and spoke about how much his family means to him. It was serviceable, pleasant, and honestly a little lacking in excitement. The rest of the Warriors in attendance apparently agreed, because they looked pretty bored:
