Because Stephon Marbury has been freed to play like "Starbury" once more...With the permission of possibly the gratest GM/Coach ever, Isiah Thomas.

We all know how well that worked for the Knicks last year...And also for the Suns...And the Nets...And the T'Wolves.

It will be a "fun" ride.

There are precisely two teams in the NBA that I will always hate, no matter who's playing there, who's coaching there, or what's going on. One team is the Lakers, the other is the Knickerbockers.

Oh, and **** stephon marbury (he doesn't deserve the dignity of having his name capitalized).
 
So FSM gets to bring another team down. Fortunately for the Knicks, they already stink, so he can't do too much damage.

Other than the domination, why do you hate the Lakers so much?
 
Who says I need a reason?

And even if I didn't have what are, for me, better reasons, I would hate the Los Angeles Lakers just for being from Los Angeles. I'm not too fond of the Clippers, either.

Lamar_Odom, I didn't say that I hated them just because; and, if you re-read my post, you'll observe that I didn't actually explain why I hate them, and I don't particularly feel compelled to do so now. Me asking rhetorically "who says I need a reason" isn't me saying that I don't have a reason, so much as it is me politely (well, politely for me, anyway) saying that it's none of your goddamned business. I don't have to explain why I don't like the Lakers to a Lakers fan, and frankly, I just don't feel like it.

What I did say was that, if I didn't have any other reasons to hate the Lakers, the simple fact that they're from Los Angeles would be good enough for me.
 
I hate Lakers for absolutely no reason at all. Actually I'm lying. I probably hate them for the same reason Piksi hates them :)
 
Hate is such a strong word and yet it cannot convey 1/100 of the ill feelings that I have towards Lakers. Like Piksi, I will always have at least two NBA teams to root for - Kings and whoever is playing Lakers.

And before you ask, if I wanted to be mature and all grown up I wouldn't lose so much sleep over 12 millioners playing a _game_.
 
I thought this thread was about Marbary, Zeke and the Knicks...not the usual Laker hate.;)
...but I could be mistaken.
 
First of all, congratulations on becoming a moderator! I didn't even notice that. That's great! It does make sense to make you a mod here, you know? At least to me, I've been here long enough, even through the aka_USAPA era, I was here.... Congrats, Slim! I think you're going to be a great mod.... so other than they are from Los Angeles, a little closer to the border, why do you really hate the Lakers???

In a Knicks win, he flashed greatness with a 2 point 3 assist performance...And topped it all off with 25% shooting (1-4).

I'm quitely rooting for the Knicks, not because I like them or Marbury, but because I don't want the Bulls to get another high draft pick.

The way both teams are playing Chicago could end up with two high picks.

You got me all confused. You said you didn't need a reason but you do have a reason. In this case, it's because they are from Los Angeles. If they were from Sacramento, you would love them, but since they are from L.A., you hate them, which is your reason for hating them. So you do need a reason for hating..., not just because. Thanks for clarifying that.
