The great Pistons

I know that there is a lot of talk about the Kings right now with the coaching change and all. Nonetheless, let me start a thread on the greatness of the Pistons. I am a Kings fan specifically and a b-ball fan more generally. Being a general fan of the game I must declare that the Pistons are a beautiful team to watch.

In this day and age, the NBA promotes its stars like they are modern gods who transcend that game itself. Yet there is a team in Detroit that epitomizes what a b-ball team is all about. There are no grand stars – just a group of really good players that work together like a well-oiled machine. It is a thing of splendor – it is almost art to me. Let us extol the greatness of the Pistons!

it seems in all sports a complete team is the "IN" thing these days. Which is a good thing. We still need that superstar but it seems more the focus is on complete teams. I like watchn the pistons myself.

NO superstars?? Weren't 4 of the starting 5 MVP's this year?? I think that means it's a team of people that play great together, for that reason they have become stars. They are great though, no doubt.

I was talkn about us needing a superstar Doc... To complete our team. Need a superstar with a complete team around it.

Pistons are just an awesome all around team. I hope RA gets a similar type team to take over. I always consider FLIP a very RA style coach.
