The Aquabats Super Show: Greatest show television has ever projected onto my face.

#1
I saw the first episode of this over the weekend and nearly lost my mind. It is about the personas of the Aquabats (the rock band) fighting the forces of evil and playing shows. The evil guys are really funny like Manant from the first episode voiced by Mr. Lawrence (Plankton from Spongebob). The action is slapstick and funny, the jokes are funny, the band is weird, and they have superpowers... basically, if I were 10 and given millions of dollars, this is the show I would make... in fact, this is the show I would make now, too!
Sure, people will say it is dumb or silly, but if you liked the Adam West Batman best or 80's disney sci-fi or wished the power rangers were cooler, this is it!

Unbelievable!

Christian Jacobs the Bats' lead singer is the man behind Yo Gabba Gabba which parents know is the greatest children's show ever, it was only a matter of time I guess before he made one for adults.

It's not really a show for adults, but for kids who love superheroes... and I am a kid (at heart) when it comes to superheroes. Also, I appreciated the lack of adult innuendo... just a simple kids superhero show.

They say YGG is a kids show too. :)
I think the thing about YGG and the Aquabats is that there are things for adults to enjoy in these shows, but they are not vulgar or sexual things... compare Aquabats/YGG to the movie Shrek. Shrek had lots of jokes I would be embarassed if my kids understood... YGG and Aquabats seem like they pay homage to things I liked growing up (superheros, puppets, aliens, slapstick, etc) and feature cool bands I like (Aquabats, Shins, etc), but that is as far as I see that going.
