TACOMA, WASH. Tacoma Defiance (4-2-9, 14 points) defeated Sacramento Republic FC (7-6-2, 27 points) Wednesday evening at Cheney Stadium. Alec Díaz came off the bench in the 59th minute and scored the sole goal of the game in the 71st, his team-leading sixth goal of the season, set up wonderfully by fellow sub Danny Reynolds.
